Film School Rejects was sent a few photos of three Saleens with the Barricade decals being towed around in Culver City. Is Michael Bay getting ready to start shooting the Transformers sequel already?

I thought there was only one Barricade car like Bumblebee's concept car

After reading FilmSchoolRejects & the MovieBlog links, it stated that these are probably for blowing up, in the case one needs an extra. I DOUBT IT myself.

I would say something different is up their sleeves. Like maybe clones?

It's a lot easier to make multiple Barricades than multiple Concept Camaro Bumblebees since it's an in-production vehicle with some modifications to it.

Bumblebee was very carefully done since they need to do a fiberglass mold of each Concept Camaro piece and apply it to the Pontiac GTO platform.

This is true. Still seems wierd that theres 3 barricades. It might mean nothing. Probably not clones though.

All i know is they should produce NEW BETTER toys

if its anything like other productions ive looked 1 is for stunt driving 1 is full of props (like that light/eye thing he had) 1 might be remote control given transformers dont tend to have a driver and I'm guessing and thier might be more for spares

Oh geez, here we go. There will not be THREE Barricades in the sequel. Just one. There are multiple cars in case something happens to one of the cars and they need to use another. These kind of props get moved around all the time, so it's even possible these are from the first film.

What we should be speculating is whether or not Barricade is in the sequel, not whether or not there will be three of him.

Yeah, wasn't the original plan to have him die in the battle on the freeway.

What is interesting, is that they had a Barricade on disaplay at the premire at the LA Film Festival, BUT all of the cop markings were removed.

So if these are fully deco'd up then that suggests that either:
a) There are 4 production models and only one, the display one, was wiped.
b) They are reapplying the decos to the wiped car(s) with intent of Barricade appearing in the sequel.

I imagine Barricade, and every character we did not see die, will appear in the sequel, since the animation models are expensive and reusing them offsets other budget costs.

I wouldn't be surprised by the reappearance of some characters that did die, actually ().

if i had the cash i'd get a new 350z done up like prowl and drive it around town on the back of a truck.
