Hmmm. Well at this point I have kinda conceded defeat. I think I will be getting Premium Prime along w/ Premium Megs. I think it will be worth it.

What I don't get is why they didn't decide to put blue LED lights for Prime and red ones for Megs.

I just got Premium Megs, and the G1 sound really is a great touch. The proper lights would've been great though...

I changed the lights for my first 2 leaders. Megatron was working at first, but suddenly stopped working after a bit. Now I'm scared to tamper with Premium, and I'm really itching to change that light on Premium Prime.

do you have both, if so, we want some side by side comparisons.

nope this is the only prime from the movie i wanted so i couldn't do that comparison but someone else has a pic of the other prime in the thread so u can tell the difference there....

I'm still unsure of this. I love the first version of Leader Prime, 'Premium' paint job or no. I dig the sword, of course, but the damn head looks too much like he has rabbit ears. It just doesn't look worth another $40 to me, especially with Animated on the horizon.

Without me bothering to check the kitbash forum, do you have a tutorial on how you changed those lights? Was it rerribly difficult?

My Prime has the reprolabels and is really close to movie-accurate, but changing those lights would be damn near perfect. Thanks.

Also, I just ordered a second set of reprolabels for the upcoming Premium Prime. I have resigned myself to my fate.

i wonder how difficult it'd be to switch the heads, have electronics in it and what not.
