So, I recently moved and did what I do everytime I move, clean all of my crap. Just after finishing up with my TF collection I moved on to the gaming portion of the pack-and-move. Got to my O.G. Big N here and decided it was time to give it some much needed lovin. 25+ years of steady gaming, moving and life has had it's toll on the poor thing. Yellowed, missing door, scratched up, marked up.... now that I'm in my new place I went to town last week. It's not perfect and it's not meant to be. I wanted to keep the scratches and war wounds on a system that still kicking long after most cars sputter thier last gasp of oil. And, I ran out of batteries...

NICE
Kurosaki Ichigo
Looks like a Virtual Boy. If only the VB had been half as good.

change the B and A button color!

I've still got my original NES and play it all the time. A lot more often than my newer systems. I've been thinking of putting a window in the top and adding some red LED's to its innards so you can see what cartridge is loaded, but I haven't got around to it yet.

change the B and A button color!

While I was painting the controllers I wondered if I could find the old button replacements somewhere online. I think I may look for some though if I change the color I'll have to go with grey or black in this particular instance. I'd like something that's not goofy looking.

I'm thinking of more improvements as well. Maybe some vinyl cut outs for the top shell or perhaps a masked off design layer. I'm worried about painting though as I ran into a problem putting on the coat of black over the red on the two black pieces located at the ends of the vents. The sh][t peeled. I sanded and painted a second time and it did it again around the edges of where the red paint ended so I opted for replacement parts from my local second hand game store. Something isn't working right chemically which is weird since I used Fusion for both colors. *shrugs*

If you have the skills, it would most definitely look better and way kooler if you managed to get it to look like a Wii.

Famicom'D!!!!

I just want to get my nes working again. I got one of those new 72 Pin connectors they sell on ebay and not only did it still blink but now it NEVER stops blinking. I tried putting the old 72 pin connector back in there and the same thing. I don't know if I'm not putting something back together right or what.
