Yep, the Autobot insignia on Dinobots got nothing to do with Megatron and/or Sumdac.

ummmm...

1. Screamer had 2 huge ones on his wings that could clearly be seen so he has seen it up close

2. he clearly had the TV report on the screen in his office so he knows who they are and that they are evil

3. the logo on the megatron scrap had a logo as big as his whole head he would be blind not to have noticed it


thing is thats all just speculation I have proof of this being a plot hole your just giving me retcon and speculation about the comming episodes




but they were still made by sundac he also thinks thier dead and were nothing more then drones

as for the autobot logos thats just another plot hole that people are just using retcon and speculation to fill... give me proof.

Yes, Sumdac would have seen the insignia. However, he was never expressively told that what insignia a cybertronian carries is used to distinguish Autobot from Decepticon. One Decepticon with some tribal markings would not really warrant any prejudice to others who may happen to carry the same tribal markings, especially when that other one is your friend.

Or, as a real life example:

"All people with black hair are evil!"
- "Dude, I have black hair."
"That means you're evil!"
- "What? Come on, have I ever done anything evil to you?"
"Not that I know, but you're still evil!"
- "I've lend you my car a hundred times."
"Still evil!"

a guy has the nazi logo on his army uniform while carrying around a gun around the time of WW2 he is also rather shady looking and is asking you to not tell any one he is hiding in the city under the guard of the good guys...

"All nazi's are evil! and you have a Nazi logo on your army uniform"
- "ok Dude, I'm a nazi."
"That means you're evil!"
- "What? Come on, have I ever done anything evil to you?"

but thats not whats going on in animated he is only hiding megatron since Sundac thinks he is one of the good guys and that he is ashamed of what he has done to their freind. but now he has proof he is infact connect to the decepticons so he knows megatron is fooling him in some way

now i could go on but its nothing more then a plot hole and should not be retcon'd into a 1000 page rant

I don't give sumdak much credit for being observant.. I mean, this IS dippy lil sumdak we're talkin about here. The only time he actually seemed to be a decent character was in the head master episode.. I mean, in all honesty, he's taking blind orders from a schemeing inanimate head to begin with. You think he'd catch on sooner or later that his basement buddy happens to be a tad bit evil.. but again, this is sumdak we're talkin about here.

After all, the first scene of the next episode may be Sumdac looking at the Decepticon logo on Megatron's body, flashing back to the Starscream attack and thinking "Now wait just a damn minute!"

You're again assuming that it is general knowledge that the Insignia has a significant meaning. WE, as an audience know so, but Sumdac has no idea. You are adding facts where none are given, so I would say you are the one speculating and retconning.

and yeah you would be right IF i were trying to retcon something but I'm not I'm just pointing holes in other peoples ideas while pointing out its a plot hole and yes I know this hole rides on how he knows the relevance on the con logo but even a simple child could make the connection between the logo and the report on the TV about how the decepticons are evil it should not need to be pointed since we (the watchers) don't need it to be pointed out and given how many times he has talked to the autobots I'm guessing (yes i know thats speculation) the the writers didn't want to tread over it all again

I agree with the other poster who posted that it was just on thier to give us a huge hint it was part of megatron since with out it it just looks like a lump

I'm consdiering the theory that sumdac thinks the body is just a anomimus decepticon I think next ep he may notice and megatron may presade him to keep the body to study and then we all know what happens and why possibly bulkhead and bumblebee might be cowering in fear

I was also loving that shout out to the constructicons, and SO hoping they'd make an appearance...oh well...
