We all have favorites in our collection. Here's a picture of my crown jewels - and I've only paid about $300 for them. Not too shabby, considering the condition of a lot of them. All of the rubsigns are totally functional.

Menasor - I de-stickered him, he will have stickers soon from reprolabels.com. Not shown is the instructions to Motormaster, and the cards for the 4 cars. I also have every weapon for the set except for 2 small weapons, and the instruction sheet as to how to complete Menasor.

Devastator - THE HIGHEST of the crown jewels - just got him today. All robots are in C9.5+ condition - perfect stickers, no looseness! All Devastator attachments and small robot weapons, and all six tech specs. Amazing condition for a nearly 20 year old toy!

Superion - Metal version. I also have the bilingual Superion instructions. Stickers are a little weak.

Computron - The one I like the most - he's just so damn SUBSTANTIAL!

Abominus - A lot of fun, but people ARE right when they mention how goofy Hun-Grrr looks attached to the feet - looks like he's standing on two other TFs. Sinnertwin's head was broken, and is now superglued into the leg position. Blot's animal arms are incredibly loose, but it's no biggie for me.

I have a Bruticus coming, and I've preordered the Predaking reissue. Just need Defensor and the seacons......but those can wait.
Snapes on a Plane
I love the combiners. I completely refurbished my Superion with the help of reprolabels and a little paint. By the way, there was never a plastic version of the Aerialbots, unless you count knock-offs.
Computron was my first Transformer as a kid, so I have a certain affinity for him.
Here's a quick shot of most of my combiners. Absent from the picture is the real Superion (the one there is a knock-off) One of the Defensors is fake, as is the Reiden in the background. All others are real, mostly complete, and totally rock!

Thanks for the info on Superion - didn't know he was only metal!

Oh - where do you live, and when are you not home, so that I might swipe your Predaking and Defensor? Just kidding......that's one sweet collection.

I don't know what it is about the combiners in particular - perhaps the versatility (One big robot, or 5-6 smaller ones?), perhaps the (on some of them, at least) options on where to put certain figures.......

I cannot wait for the Energon combiners - hopefully they will have the gift of articulation, and will be, on the substantialness scale, closer to a Predaking or Computron than a Superion.

I've honestly never known why I love the combiners. For the most part, the individual bot modes tend to be wonky, but they have their own appeal. Predaking is just massive and looms over the rest of the ranks, and the others have their own cool things about them. I think having the figures as themed teams adds some playability, and just the fact that theres that many more modes for the toys to be in. I mean, why do we love transformers? Because they are 2 toys in one. Well, now with the help of a team of these cool bots, you can also make a kick-butt warrior.

I woke up recently one Sunday morning with a stinking hangover (still drunk to be honest, too much vodka!) and my missus had been to the Sunday morning boot-sale. She'd only found me a MISB reissue Op Prime for £30! I love it!!!

My fave as a kid was Metroplex, but my Mum gave all my TF's to charity when "grew out of them" for a while. Well, about 10 years!
Still..... that's no excuse!!!

I never had Metroplex as a kid, but he's in my collection now, 100% complete. I'm amazed at how much fun he can be, for a brick.

My entire collection.. thats my crown jewel.. it's not as huge and introcate as some.. I think thats mostly cuz a majority of my vintage stuff is stored in the attic.. if I add that to my BW/Armada/Re-Issues, I'm pretty sure it would double in size. Vintage stuff is probably in sorry shape though.. haven't seen those guys in atleast 13 some odd years.
