Full Version: Question about the image galleries

I'm curious as to what the parameters are for images that get posted in the galleries, ie: number of bytes, dimension settings, etc.

The reason I ask is because I'm hosting some webcomic work that I'm doing in the galleries here. Up until recently, the images seemed to resize based around a height of 1024 pixels. The pages I attempt to upload now resize at a height of 600.

The reason it's a concern is that the width of my pages is a standard 700 across. With them being reset between 500-600 is fine with me, but the last one I uploaded is 313 across, and the dialogue isn't legible at that size. Was a decision made to change the settings, or is it something else? Is the system set up to reconfigure based on full amount of pixels used? How's it all work?

Honestly, I wouldn't use the image galleries for stuff like that. Your best bet is a host like imageshack.us.

To directly address your question: "I don't know," but I can find out.
