Basically if you made your own transformer video game what would it be?
Breanainn
Some akin to Transformers the Game, but not sh1t.
Darth Caine
#1 Squad-based RTS, like Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command at PSP.
#2 GTA-esque, pretty much like TF The Movie Game, but... much more decent.
Bestimus Mucho
MMORPG!
Hunter Rose
I LOVE the Movie game.
The Jazz levels in particular.

I'm not really sure what the flaw in that game is, as I am not much of a gamer.
But for me, I guess its just that there are too many timed adventures, and I really dont do well on time limits.

Also the ranged weapons are a little useless.

So... my ideal TF game would be... Movie platform, more options for bots, better planned missions (not tied to some abitrary story), and more interesting combos/weapons applications/combat manuveres. (and i dont mean better as in more complicated necessarily)
Hot Rod
The ideal TF game would combine the destructibility of environments from the movie game, but the controls for robots and vehicles from the armada game along with the myriad of weapon choices that game provided. The cities should be larger and more varied and it should be G1 based. You could play through key episodes from seasons 1 and 2 with all the characters from that era playable.

The follow up would be a game based on TF:TM (animated) with the battle at autobot city, quintessa, Planet of Junk, Cybertron, and Final Unicron all being playable levels.

The third installment in the series would be a definitive and not sucky BW game based on season 1.
Darth Caine
And I could foresee, the Activision, just gonna make another TF game after TF2 movie at 2009... Not trying to create some brand new TF game, maybe based on G1, AEC, BW, or BM..

Gosh, I hate all kinds of movie-based games. They're just phail. And on TF movie game, I only played the Decepticon campaign.
Agent Zero
I just want something like Super Smash Bros. or Godzilla Destroy All Monsters.
Have an optional story mode, but also give it a regular choose your character and brawl mode.
Beef
The only thing I ever ask from a TF game is that the makers shamelessly rip off the Halo vehicle control method for the alt mode sections.
Smokescreen Magnus
I would like to see a Transformers the movie 1.5 game,

The game would basically be an updated version of the the first one with the kinks ironed out, It wuld be a compltely new story based between the first movie and second, and it would feature the characters that were made into toys who werent in the film , Wreckage, Cliffjumper, Thundercracker, landmine, etc, It should let you choose which character you want to play as and yu chould be able to upgade/change weapons..
Darth Caine
And also capability to customize your paintjob if you're an Autobot, or change the camouflage and serial no. if you're Decepticon. Also, one character is unlocked after another, and some could only be unlocked by certain ways, like collecting specific amount of specific items scattered around (I know, so GTA-ish), or try to rescue/defeat the desired character based on certain missions. You can also call for backups during missions, up to three other allies can be called throughout the mission to help ease your tasks.

I'd say something like Mass Effect/KOTOR. Maybe an fast paced action game like Gears of War, the bulkyness of the characters is about the same of that of a robot.
Evil Exe
GTA esque but much better, you start out as a cybertronian on cybertron, do a couple missions, join an army, head to earth scan a vehicle (what you can scan depends on you size class this gets picked in beggining of game) there are dif vehicles depending on where you are tanks jeeps; military base etc. then carry out missions for your factions you can change factions in the middle of game. saVE PARTER DONT SAVE PARTNER ETC. sorry hit caps but you get the jist of it
Tripredacus
I can't remember. Search here or on Allspark. I posted it somewhere. All I remember is that it is long and impossible.
Stormtrooper53
G1-based, something like a combination of the Armada game and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

You have a wide open environment and instead of having to equip mini-cons to complete certain objectives, you must select who you think are the best members for your team before starting each mission. It should be open-ended, and you should be able to complete the mission with any team you choose, but some teams can accomplish the mission faster/quicker/better than others.

Gee, that almost sounds like Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front, now that I think about it.

It's hard to integrate game play where you need to play in vehicle and bot mode on the same mission, but the Armada game did a pretty good job of that.
Zenmaster Omega
I would make it an RPG.

Actually, Japanese RPGs are not my favorite type, but if anybody here has played Suikoden III, I would love to see a Transformers game a lot like that. Very story driven.

The thing about Suikoden was that you could have up to 5 or 6 (i cant remember which) people in your party at any time, but you could choose from a huge list of characters. At one point in the game, you get a castle and town to build up and you can find new characters scattered around the world to populate your town that would then become characters you could choose for your party.

In combat, depending on the characters you chose, different combinations of characters could team up for special combo moves and different abilities.

I'd do the same type of thing with a Transformers RPG.

You'd get a home base to build up. Either the crashed ship, if doing G1 on Earth, or perhaps even Cybertron. Throughout the game you would find new Transformers that you could add to your team, and some would have special moves, depending on what party your chose.

For example, Soundwave would be kind of like a summoner/magic user in a fantasy RPG. His "spells" would be summoning Ravage for a powerfull individual attack, or rumble for an earthquake that attacks all enemies at once, etc.

If you had both Megatron and Starscream in your party, you could do a combo attack where Megs transforms into a gun and fires away.

Or, you could go with a party all made up of constructicons and team up to form Devastator.

As you can see from my examples, I'd love to play as the G1 Decepticons, though I know if any story driven RPG were really ever made it would be highly unlikely that they'd go with anything other than the autobots.

Unfortunately, given the target audience of RPGs vs what the companies that hold the transformers game rights would make, I highly doubt a Transformers RPG will ever be made. But, you could do a lot of very cool stuff with one.
