hi guys! longtime lurker first time poster.

Actually let me start with a short story:

I ate something bad that landed me in the hospital during the weekend of WonderCon. It was a horrible experience with a ton of IV's plugged into me and a really low bloodpressure (70/50). So for the next 3 days in ICU, i completely missed wondercon

I made my wife go because she loves art books (we're both artists) and i know if she didnt attend she would regret it. i'm not dying, so no worries right? anyways, while she was there having the time of her life, felt bad that i wasnt there with her (we go together every year)... so surprise surprise when she came to visit me, she pulled out MASTERPIECE megatron from the wondercon bag! Ah, i love my wife

anyways, i did a mini-mod to his eyes. I wouldnt dare paint the blacks in - my wife would kill me for modding an expensive toy she bought, so i used **drum-roll** black electrical tape. At one point, i took the tape off and it left a black adhesive residue cleaned off ok but took effort. But overall, i'm quite pleased with the look; and if at any time i become displeased with it (ie u guys telling me it looks horrible) then I can just peel it off without damage!

I am enjoying masterpiece megs with a blast. He is an AWESOME figure. I was erked by his skinny legs early on, and the fact he's not a solid super brick awesome toy like Optimus, but it blew over quickly. He's great!

Oh, that looks great..Really adds to a face that's rather lacking. Glad you made it through ok, and your wife seems like a great girl too. Congrats.

The worst thing about Masterpiece Megs IMO is the head- that mod certainly helps. And I couldn't tell it was tape.

Food poisoning SUCKS! Had it once, knocked me out for a couple days, probably should have gone to the hospital.

now every time you look at Megs you can think how great your wife is, and remember how much that bad hamburger you ate really was.. (or what ever you ate, that's what I ate).

Get the upgrade kit for Megs!

if you guys happen to be hit by food poisoning again, try drinking coconut juice.

Im thinking about grabbing the one here at my local hobbie shop, but they want $140 smackers for it! YOOWZAAHH!
I dunno, i want one for 80 bucks to 100. 120 AT MOST. what you guys think? Is it gonna be worth 140 + in the future? i think so, but is it worth it now? hmmmm questions questions

Maybe it's worth putting some sort of varnish on the parts that tend to rust on this guy. I'm thinking of buying one myself soon so could someone post pics of MP megatron pointing out where he rusts?
