Now that Toshiba is pretty much PWNed, I want to start woking on a BluRay collection. I was at Frys last weekend and saw a nice Pioneer BD-ROM for about $160, which I thought was a smoking price. However, it showed that minimum reqiurements were for Vista only (no XP)

To hell in a handbasket if I'm going to invest in VisDuh any time soon. Has anyone else been able to run a BD player on XP? If so, whose drive was it?
I.S.T.
XP doesn't support the HDCP copy protection HD-DVD and Blu-Ray uses. If someone got a BD rom drive to work, they'd have to hack the firmware to disable that at the ver yleast.

So basically the paranioa of the movie and TV media have screwed me from linking a BD-ROM with XP. Makes perfect sense.

I'm not going for any of it till somone cracks all the blu ray protection.
