i don't think it can be called a bootlegbecause technically speaking it's a new mold. whatever it is it looks cool and i want one.

It may be a new mold but it's based on a character design from a property said company doesn't have any right to base it's product on. Sounds like a bootleg situation to me. Just not in the typical sense. And they used to do stuff like this back in the G1 days.
