Ok, got Star Trek: Conquest for the Wii. Like other Trek games, it's not great but it's fun if you happen to be a Trekkie (although some I know aren't really into the games, so not for everyone). You basically play as one of the 6 major races involved in the Dominion War: Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Breen, Cardassian, and of course Dominion. You can build up to three fleets of ships, each with a max of seven ships per fleet. You have 3 ship classes to choose from: dreadnought, cruiser, and scout. Most trek fans should easily recognize most ships, especially the Federation classes: Galaxy (Enterprise-D), Intrepid (Voyager), and Defiant. Although the game is somewhat enjoyable, there were just some minor details that bothered me, and prevented it from being a much better game. Here's some things that woulda made it a great game:

1) Pick better admirals for the Federation, ones that made significant appearances, not ones that made one episode appearances. There's plenty of good "current" admirals to choose from: Admiral William Ross (Deep Space 9), Admiral Owen Paris (Voyager), Admiral Hayes (First Contact), heck even Janeway's an admiral now.

2) One of the unlockables is a new Federation fleet for Skirmish mode, consisting of the Sovereign (Enterprise-E), Nebula, and Oberth classes. Pairing the Sovereign with the Nebula and Oberth is an insult, they shoulda gone with more recent additions. The Akira class as a cruiser, and the Norway, Steamrunner, or Saber class as a scout. Personally, I'd go with the Steamrunner. Also, let us use the second Federation classes in the Campaign mode.

3) Another set of unlockables for Skirmish is the Borg and Xindi fleet, and again let us control the Borg and Xindi in Campaign mode. Assimilating the galaxy could be fun.

All in all, Conquest is not a bad game, but a few minor changes here and there would have made it better. Just my opinion of course, not like it'll change anything about the game now. So, any of you guys play it yet?

I'd play it if the Hollywood video by my apt had a better selection.
