I'm looking forward to collecting the WHOLE line.

I'm not gonna get them all, but I haven't been a completist since Beast Machines. There are certainly some I can't wait to get my hands on.

I might get the guy in Hobbes' avatar, depending upon the level of awesome. It'd be hard to pass up the first guitar-wielding Transformer.

I'll prob get them all, exc. maybe Black Arachnia, just not appealing to me. Looking forward to them!

I shall pick and choose, as per usual. My toy purchases have become thin as of late, though.

I'll buy all the ones that appear in UK retail. Maybe a couple that don't, if I like them enough.

It's funny I was able to restrain myself during classics, only picking up four molds.
I tried to do the same with the movie, but failed miserably ending up with all of the screen characters and then Wreckage and Arcee because they were in the concept art (

).
I've promised myself I'd only get Animated Voyager Prime, Bee, Starscream and Soundwave - but we'll see what happens

This'll probably be my first major round of TF purchases since I started collecting again as an adult. I got back in towards the end of the Classics line and really didn't like the movie line, so my collection's still a bit sparse. I plan to get all of the main Autobot cast from Animated, plus Megatron (possibly two Megatrons if they release a version of his Earth-body that's in scale with my Classics "Ultimate Battle" Optimus Prime,) Starscream, Soundwave, Blackarachnia (possibly two if they release a redeco in her pre-Transmetal Beast Wars colours) and maybe Ultra Magnus, depending on how the toy turns out.

Being a big fan of aircraft of any sort I'll almost certainly get Starscream and Earth-mode Megatron, though I'm not to sure about Lugnut. And I always wanted to have a complete collection of Dinobots that don't cost that much, so here is my chance at that.
Aside from those I'll check out Blitzwing. I need to see the toy to know if I'll get him or not. Lockdown is also on my list. Soundwave as a pimped out car with Laserbeak turning into an ax-guitar is bucketloads of awesome!

Cant argue with that. Me, I want alot of them if not all. The cyclops dude, I'm not into that much but definitely all the autobots and Starscream Soundwave and Megs, Not to mention Blitzwing. Even "Sugarbot" looks good.

See, you could have said that about the Movie line, and look what happened. If the Animated line proves successful enough, and they need filler to fill the gaps between waves, Hasbro won't think twice about repainting older molds and shipping them in Animated packaging.
On the Animated line itself....I'm not a fan of the animation style used, so I'll probably sit this line out for the most part. I am, however, planning on picking up Blitzwing, and maybe Earth Megatron if I like the look of him.

I reckon they'll do the repaints from previous lines under the Universe moniker. Probably using the Animated style of packaging.

I'll be getting every *unique* mold. If other seekers are eventually repainted on Starscream's mold, I won't pick them up this time. One of each mold is what I'm planning for now, and I won't be getting different sizes of the same figure (like I won't get the 2-pack megatron AND the voyager, same with prime).
So yeah, I want every character for sure. Maybe not Black Arachnia, but I'll get her to be a completist.

Anyway, I'll definitely get Blitzwing, Prowl, and Soundwave. Maybe Starscream... if they fix the final release and he's not freaking inexplicably blue.

Haha, yeah, I did mean how "big" the line is, as in "how many figures are in the line." Not how tall the figures are.
As for other people's comments on not getting other lines repainted/remolded for Animated...I can't see how any other lines being repainted would mesh well with those figures, since stylistically, they're kind of a think unto themselves. The movie line is seeing cybertron figures leaking in, but I think that's because those figures can pass moderately well as being movie-like in appearance. Some of the cybertron figures have alt modes and robot modes that would make them visually fit believably in the movie line.
Unless you take (and I don't mean this in any bad way) a line that is "simpler" in appearance (something like, say, classics for the most part) I doubt you'd find many lines that would mesh well with animated. Especially since their main goal was to make the figures look as close to their cartoon counterparts as possible, so even the figures have a pretty convincing "animation" to them.
Then again, at some point, Hasbro could just say "**** it" and start mixing lines with animated. I just wouldn't see that as being convincing or wise.

Absolutely will buy the main Autobot cast, Megs in any form, Starscream, and any other Decepticons from the show that catch my eye. Ultra Magnus and Sentinel Prime are instant purchases too. Beyond that, we'll have to see the toys before making any decisions.

From everything I've seen though I'll probably only skip the Ultra/Supreme class toys.

I hated Armada, Cybertron, Energon and the Movie line; however, I am so looking forward too the Animated line. This line looks to be the best Transformer line since Robots in Disguise back in 2002. This, coupled with the cartoon, looks to be harking back to G1 Transformers that I adore so much. I am hoping that this line will stay strong for a few years just like with Generation 1 Transformers. I am for sure getting, Prime, Bumble Bee, Prowl, Dinobots (ie. Grimlock, Snarl, Swoop), Megatron, Bulkhead, Soundwave and StarScream to name a few. Between Animated, Classics 2.0, Encore and Generation 1 figure collecting, my wallet is going to be definitely hurting. But it's for a good cause

I'm really looking forward to the Animated Line. Without a doubt they have to be some of the most show accurate figures I've seen in ages. The Cybertron line wasn't too bad, but Animated figures just look too show accurate to pass up.

But, I'm also interested in Lockdown and Starscream, at the least.

I will be getting all show characters and all versions for the most part. I am expecially looking forward to the Supreme TF:A Optimus Prime! (i know most ppl arnt but once they are done with it, that was a prototype that couldnt even transform all the way yet, i think it will be alot better then ppl think)
I just hope he has articulated shoulders, which i bet there working a way out for it. (it didnt look like it from proto but)
Majors are the core autobot & decepticon teams, Earth Megs for SURE! V. Prime, and the dinos & blitzwing are most expedient for. But ALL SHOW bots for real, YES

Probably grab Soundwave, Grimlock, Snarl, Swoop, Omega Supreme, and a few of the Primes, maybe a couple Megatrons. There are a few others I'm still undecided on, but as with the movie line, I'm not all that impressed with most of these. Hopefully, unlike the movie line, I won't be out buying more and more new toys just for the sake of checking something else out, and winding up with a bunch of toys I really could care less about...here's looking at you movie Jazz, Voy Prime, Megatron in all forms, ect.... With the A/E/C line I did a really good job avoiding most of them, but I do really just like buying toys.

I already have nearly all of wave one and two. Only missing Big-Green-Stupid and Voy Prime hasn't been released yet. I will certainly end up with a good portion of the line. It's easier at this point to list those I won't buy:
-Bulkhead (either version) I hate him
-Lugnutz (I may change my mind on this one later but the whole cyclops thing sucks and being that he's such a kiss ass...well, meh.
Oh, and god me if they do a million seeker repaints. I'll be in so much trouble with my wallet it won't even be funny.

no offense.. but IN MY OPINION the animated series is an insult to TFers. I wouldn't collect those if I was being paid to take them. Not meant as an insult to those that like them - different strokes for different folks - but I put them in the same category as the Beast Wars. Maybe great toys, stories and transformations - but they are just not Transformers IN MY opinion. I'm too old school.

So by all means feel free to boycott the line. I'm sure most of us boycotted Transformers Animorphs for the same reason.

I enjoy Animated enough that I do want to collect this series, although I really only want one incarnation of each character. I'm not going to go after various versions of the same character, e.g.: I have Deluxe Bumblebee - don't see myself wanting Activators Bumblebee. Personally I've never been fond of seeing different versions of the same character.

Removed Lugnut from list until further consideration, dunno, just kinda unfit to see him smaller in scale if compared to Herr Blitzving. :/
