It's a show (of course), a game and toys. I think I'm in heaven...

^Check out image #4 for size and scale.

Found these at Target tonight and bought a starter set. I found two types of toys: Starter set which comes with three of the transforming (marbles) and single static mini trading figs. There were pegs for the expansion packs but they were bare so I don't know if those are cards and marbles or what. I'll keep checking back and find out. I haven't yet had the chance to study the game and it's rules and only glanced over the Wiki nor Have I seen the show. But the figs themselves are pretty Powerglideing awesome. The figs don't transform until they roll over the cards which have metal in them. There's a magnet in each of the figs which initiates the transformation and that in and of itself is cool as hell. Each has little feet that can be folded out so you don't need the cards to keep them standing. I could roll these all day! Even if the game is lame the figs were worth the purchase. The Starter set is 11.99, you get three cards, three marbles and an instruction book. I think the expansion pack was 4-something (I have no idea what's included) and I don't remember the price on the static figs.

I was trying to take pics but all of my batteries are roasted. I'll add some at a later date so you all can get a good upclose look at them.

EDIT: Oh, and of course there are varient packs. Some have dicast in them (one of mine has a dicast ring) others are made of translucent plastic.

Alright, got some pics.

Also found the official site. It's new so there's not much up that's actually functional.

Awesome find, Hellscream. I'd seen those on a JP Img Board a month or so back. They kind of seem to be slightly similar to those old "Egg Beasts" (but quite smaller?), so I was hoping to stumble on some info on them. Interesting to see they're made by Sega Toys. Suppose this means Spin Master didn't actually receive the licensing rights for Sonic, but for Bakugan.

The only thing that's slightly perplexing me is the main character's name. Dan Kuso. Seriously?

I also seen those at Target. They remind me of Neo Shifters but smaller and cooler looking.

About time they've come out for the rest of the world.
The booster packs are just singles. One marble, one card.
A question...
Does the other one that looks biped have feet too?
Lower left.

No. Which I find petty strange because it's one of the only ones out of the six that I've got. Good thing they don't really need them as they stick to the cards....or the fridge, the oven....the car... biggrintf.gif

Exactly! that's the first thing I thought when I saw a few of them. I had to have some just on that train of thought alone because I haven't been able to track down any of the eggbots. And yeah, they are quite smaller. These are sighly larger than the diameter of a US quater.

Well, both Sega toys and Spinmaster are listed on he back of packaging. In terms of Sonic toys, I don't know who's making them now. I do know that I just saw the recent line....they're kind of meched out which woul be neat except that the molding is quite bad and the paint is awful. Joint wise they've got nothing on some of the previous toys.

All I know of the story is the general synopsis I read on the official website which seemed rather neat.

I have two of those. I love them two. And I have to say Neoshifters are the coller of the two just for the fact that they actually kickass action figs.

Sorry for teh triple post mods.

Aha.
I see.
Alright then, thanks for answering. I'm only after the ones that turn into anything semi bipedal, so that's two thus far.

As far as I know, it's still Toy Island that has the Sonic license. Either way, it's good to know Sega Toys is getting more exposure state-side(outside of all those Tiger released doodads like the iDog and iFish..etc etc.)

Did some poking about on this series on AnimeNewsNetwork. Confirmed two things I was wondering about. The character designer is the same person that did the Beyblade and B-Daman designs...and the main character really is named Danma "Dan" Kuso...which still baffles me as to why you'd want to name your main character after bodily waste. cliffjumper.gif

Which aisle can these be found in? I might go hunting for some tonight, and don't want to pass them up if they're not in the aisle w/Transformers or Lego.

I spotted them at a Walmart tonight. 2nd sighting.

They can be found in the action figure aisle. In Target, face the TF's and do a 180. In Walmart.....well, it's Walmart...who knows.
