How come this is allowed & this isn't?

I feel that both benefit the TF community without being any "competition" to this site.

i think it has to do with who's doing the posting

one is a member of the site, the other an OP

either that or the first is a game and the other is another community.

Buddykiller has the right idea -- there's a difference between "hey check out what I found" and someone advertising their own site on TFans. This place runs off of ad revenue from people who pay to have their ads displayed here. It's not a good idea on multiple levels to allow people to do that for free.

I realised he only joined to pimp his board just after posting this thread. Makes sense to lock it I suppose.

I've signed up to the site & I'm gonna have a fiddle around with it. If it looks cool, is it okay for myself (or another old member) to make a thread about it? (If it doesn't suck!)
