Huh. And here I was unaware printers could vote. Though laserjet printers are Dems all the way, though.

More Clinton hating! There's never too much of that IMO:

Even chairpeople of the Democratic Party are defecting from her!

It also shows their agenda quite well. It's not about who's the best for the Democratic party at this point... it's about who can beat McCain.

Don't you think that beating McCain is what's best for the Democratic party?
Lord Madhammer
It depends on who beats him. optimuslaugh2.gif

Beating McCain is on my top priorities list. So much that I may actually vote for Obama because I DO think he has a better shot at winning.

I wouldn't actually know as I have no sound(My build in sound card thingy is frying any set of headphone we hook up to it. Seriously.).
Hobbes-timus Prime
I actually did send it to CNN...after I typed that I checked, and sure enough there's a "news tips" submission thing on their website...wow, I can't believe I fed the beast.

Not that they haven't seen it, yet, I'm sure.

I seriously don't think that this would actually damage Clinton... but it does yet more damage to the idea that white people aren't all closet racists.

I fear a crowd of young black kids at night more than I would a crowd of white kids. I'm not proud of that fact nor do I have any specific reason to back up that fear.

Me too.

But then again I live in the ghetto and hear gunshots at least 3 times a month, so it's a bit different in my case.

Well, it depends - I wouldn't fear a crowd of black kids playing D&D. I would fear a group of white kids drinking an alley. Context is everything.

I do as well, though for a very odd reason.

Large amounts of loud noise coming from all directions is, oddly enough, enough to send me into a panic attack. I'm dead serious. I have no farging clue why. I can even tell when one's about to happen, and that's when I get the farg out of Dodge.

Not really that funny, but a couple of moments made me laugh:

Sooo...over the past week, Hillary was asked who she liked in the Kentucky Derby (which was run this past Saturday). She, of course, backed Eight Belles, the first filly in the Derby since 1999. Eight Belles finished second in the Derby, but as she crossed the finish line, she broke both ankles and had to be euthanized on the track.

The winning horse's name: Big Brown.

Here's a handy delegate calculator; use it and realize how little of a chance Hillary has:

With every second she does not drop out, I hate her a little bit more.

If Obama does not receive the nomination, I'm voting McCain.

I could not make up something like that...

Really, Hillary's only chance is the nuclear option where all of FL and MI's delegates are seated according to their invalid primary results.
Lord Madhammer
Which isn't going to happen. They'll most likely be split 50/50. Hillary's only option is for Obama to completely lose viability. If only he would stop responding to campaign crises so effectively.
Lord Madhammer
FYI there are a couple of primaries tomorrow....

right now the polls have Obama winning one, and Clinton winning the other

skeletor.png

reminds me of the Daily Show post-Pennsylvania where Stewart noted that the pundits were predicting a 10-point win for Clinton as a game-changer, and a 9-point win as a game-ender for her.....................

she won by 9.6 points

When the hell is the convention anyway so all this can be over?

The final day of the convention is August 28th, the 45th anniversary of Dr. King's "I have a dream" speech... should be interesting if Clinton gets the superdelegates to nominate her.

CNN results right now:

Indiana
Clinton 53%
Obama 47%

North Carolina
Obama 59%
Clinton 39%

Will she drop out yet?
Emperor Megatron
I hope Obama pulls out a win in Indiana, even if it is a small margin. The supers would then have no choice but to flock to Obama and the party leaders would have to come down on Clinton to dropout.

Just watching pundits on TV supporting Clinton. They are seriously under a strong reality distortion field.

CNN just called Indiana for Clinton, 51-49%. She needed to do a lot better. Still, when all is said and done, all that happened today was the gap between Hillary and Obama widened by 4 pledged delegates.

ETA: Looking at it again, the delegate math in this post might be off, but it's still all anti-climatic and back to where we were yesterday...hopefully some Super Delegates make her mind up for her soon.
Lord Madhammer
Everyone's talking like it's over today. She was expected to win Indiana, and was hoping to be close in North Carolina. The exact opposite happened. Terry MacAuliffe, her campaign manager, said last night that the metric they were going to go by was, "which candidate has the momentum coming out of tonight?", expecting it to be Hillary. Unfortunately for them, the momentum shifted to Obama last night -- and this after the Reverend Wright controversy, the gas tax pain10.gif and Clinton's newfound populist voice on the stump. The fact that she got no traction in Indiana or North Carolina when she was at the top of her game and Obama was having the worst month of his campaign = there are no options left for Clinton aside from the superdelegates. She has no chance of catching him in the popular vote (Obama's NC win erased Clinton's PA gains), and now even if they do award all of the Michigan and Florida delegates to Clinton, it won't put her in the lead by any measure.

Telling sign: Hillary's post-primary fundraising letter didn't ask for money.

Expect a lot of uncommitted superdelegates to make their preference public this week and next.
