Hello, fellow Tranny-fans biggrintf.gif
Well, I now have more G1 TFs than I ever had before. I have all the Constructicons, but no combining parts. My Shockwave towers over all the rest of them. icon_sad.gif He needs an opposition, and what better opposition than the mighty autobot warrior of the skies, Jetfire! Unfortunately, I've looked on ebay and they are all CrAzY expensive. All I really want is the Transformer itself and it's gun, and perhaps it's tech specs. Tell me, just exactly how much is Jetfire worth and where can I get one?

However, the autobots cannot plan to win over the immense power that is Shockwave. Optimus Prime needs a second-in-command that won't get him killed. *pokes Rodimus Prime* redface2tf.gif
What is the absolute cheapest I can get a G1 or Commemorative Ultra Magnus? I'd like it MIB, but I realize that it's highly expensive (probably).

A final autobot, the super warrior of all super warriors...Omega Supreme! I want one complete. I'm going to have to pay out of the nasal passages, aren't I? thumbsdown.gif

I'd say now Shockwave's pretty outnumbered, with Autobot supremacy over land and sky. He needs help. I have some KO Devastator Gestalt Bits, but they have KO stickers on them, and they're such a hassle to peel off because they leave behind a whole bunch of paper and adhesive. I've considered buying some stickers from reprolabels, but again, such a hassel. I'd much rather have the G1 Parts anyway. How much can I expect to pay for them all?

And last, but not least, Skorponok. I want one. I don't need all the base pieces and stuff, not really. All I really want is the Bot, the Headmaster, and maybe the gun (if he has one, I can't remember). Again, crazy expensive?

Can you please tell me how much each of these is worth. If you have any for sale, I'd like to know, too. smiletf.gif
Cheers & Happy friggin Newyear.

Ok, these responses come from 5+ years of buying and selling TFs online, mostly Ebay, but I have also bought directly from wheeljackslab (nice stuff, but he can be kind of a jerk), Transformerland.com (recommended) and toynk.com. Anyhoo, moving on...

Jetfire plus gun and specs: It's my guess that it'll cost you anywhere from $50-70 dollars, depending on condition of the robot. Chipping on the nose, yellowing, etc will affect the price. A complete, white Jetfire runs at least $100, and a MIB at least $150 (as long as it has the styrofoam). It's rare that someone has only the gun and plane for sale, so you might have to piece it together. Ebay, transformerland.com and wheeljackslab are good places to find individual pieces.

Ultra Magnus: This figure won't break the bank. The Toys R Us Reissue will cost roughly $55-75 brand new, and MIB ones probably wouldn't go for much more than $40, if that. A complete, vintage Magnus will cost roughly $40 or $50 as well, with minor variations for which face variant it is. A complete, MIB Magnus can vary pretty substantially, depending on box condition and what paperwork is included. On the low end, probably about $80, high end, $150 for a really pristine piece. Toynk has the reissues for $64.99 misb, while complete bots can be found on Ebay and wheeljackslab. Actually for all the toys, use the websites I've mentioned, as these are the only ones I can remember dealing with repeatedly, and have been very happy.

Omega Supreme: This one's gonna cost you. A complete, functioning Omega Supreme will cost you at least $100, probably closer to $130-$150. MIB, at least $175-200 and above. This is my next purchase too

Constructicon parts: That one I'm not sure of. I've always just bough Devastator complete. Individual parts probably aren't too expensive.

Scorponok: Anywhere from $20-40 for the body, but Lord Zarak, the head, will probably set you back around $50 or more. Individual pieces for him probably shouldn't be too bad.

Right after Christmas is usually a good time to buy on Ebay. People have spent a lot on Christmas and take a break for a few weeks to pay off the credit card bills. Now is a good time to try and pick up those expensive pieces.

Hope this is helpful. Good luck!

hmm...well, I looked for a MIB Commemorative Ultra Magnus, and the only ones I can find are up to $70 and above (counting shipping.) Are your quotes based on shipping prices, too? Anyway, thank you very much for the info! I've never been to transformerland.com before, I might check that right now.
Ultra-Mattus
Hmm, are we confusing terms? When you say MIB, I'm assuming you mean a piece that is already opened. I'm used to using MISB to designate an unopened item. That said, $70 for an open MIB Reissue Magnus is way too much, especially when that's what sealed ones are selling for. Do you have an Ebay account already? If so you can search completed items to see what things are selling for currently. That's a good way to judge how much you can expect to pay. That's always my first step when I'm getting ready to score a TF.

Also, my price estimates did not include shipping quotes. It's really not easy to guess at shipping rates. Some are just so high you question the seller's sanity.

There are also lots of other online toy stores to shop at. BigBadToyStore and BriansToys come to mind. But I've always found those sites to have really inflated prices along with poor selection (how many hours have I spent clicking on items I wanted only to have them come up "not in stock." if its not in stock, get it off the damn page! hehe). I've never purchased anything from them and don't really plan to, although I know you'll find a lot of people on these boards who have.

I recommend Transformerland cuz you can negotiate with them, you get quick replies to your questions, and they ship stuff quickly. Plus, they're very courteous, which you don't always find with TF sellers.

Good luck.

ah, I see what you mean about MIB. If it's cheaper, but still is complete w/ box and insert, that's fine with me. Unfortunately, I don't have an ebay account. I'm not allowed to get one yet. (I'm only 16). I can, however, get my aunt to temporarily log in so I can search completed listings, so I might do that.

Anyway, I just got off of Transformerland. G1 Ratbat for $40?! Holy crap!!! Anyway, they have a G1 Jetfire (just the jet) for $50? $60? I can't remember now. *D'oh!* Anyway, do you have to have an account or something to buy from there?
Ultra-Mattus
Yeah, I usually collect MIB too, unless something is crazy pricey then I just try to get it loose (like G1 Wheeljack). I'm working getting all the bases/leaders MIB, just cuz I think the box art is f'n sweet. If you can get in to your aunt's account, it's a good idea to look through the finished listings. Like I said, it gives a good idea of what things are being sold for. Seeing what others bid the stuff up to is good for comparing Buy It Now prices and when to give up on something that has gone too high. Good example: a couple of years ago I sold a G1 Megatron MIB for over $600, even though it wasn't worth more than $300, max. It was a couple of rookies who hadn't done their homework who got in a bidding war. It was a nice piece, of course, but not $600 nice. I felt guilty taking the cash!

As for Ratbat, all the cassettes complete will cost a minimum $25. Ratbat gets pricey because it's so common for the tips of his ears to be broken off. Finding one complete with good ears is tough.

As Transformerland, when you order, you set up an account, which is basically just your email address and a password. You don't have to put any financial info on file, and if I remember they, accept Paypal and money orders as well as credit cards.
Venom_Macbeth
there is one on ebay stores for...um...$25 altogether (with shipping.)

I'd love to have it, but there are a few problems...

1. I have about $75 right now. I could get this, but it'd be a third of the money I have.
2. At the moment, I'm actively searching for (G1s):
Motormaster
Springer
Octane
Laserbeak

Ratbat is just an afterthought. I'd like to have it, but then I might not be able to get the others.
3. I don't have a cassette player. I know that's a stupid reason, but It'd be odd to have a cassette Transformer lying around with nowhere to place it in cassette form. It's not a huge reason, but it's a slight drawback.

I want laserbeak to put on G1 Megatron's arm, so the cassette thing isn't really an issue with him. Anyway, can you give me price quotes for Motormaster, Springer, and Octane? My aunt's at work right now, so I can't check ebay. There are so many incomplete Octanes on ebay, it's insane!!
