So you're saying that nobody realized the effect the suit was having on Nanosec, and the Autobots are still culpable? Like you said, they don't even understand age, being robots and all.

.....Did you see the episode? "White hair in humans is usually a function of age", as quoted from Prowl. Which led Bumblebee to his coldhearted act of driving Nanosec to retirement. Not to mention the countless times that the Autobots commented on Ratchet, and him being halfway into the Matrix already.

So, yes, The Autobots knew about what 'age" means, even in a human context. And at least Bumblebee also knew that the suit was affecting Nanosec, and aged him rapidly. Knowing that, he still lured him with the intent to burn him out. That is cold. And unless you're what they call an 'anti-hero', not right either.

Did *you* see the episode? There was a big "aha" moment at the end when everyone realized what was happening to the guy. Prior to that point it was all just "hmm that's odd". You have to demonstrate that Bumblebee knew specifically what was happening to Nanosec in order to support your view. I don't think that is demonstrable.
Bestimus Mucho
I think bumblebee knew what he was doing. But I also think he was assessing a threat and realized the best solution was to force it to run it's clock. This wasn't a matter of "lets just shoot it!" it was a matter of "the only way this is going to stop is if we can make him run out of juice."

er, Bumblebee knew what he was doing, and that aha moment was basically between the other bots. More of a holy crap Bumblebee is smarter than we thought moment. Also Bumblebee snaps his fingers and says something like "age, that's it" before jetting off and forcing nanosec to chase him. I don't know about Bumblebee but this IMO feels a lot like the underhanded trickery Robin would use to stop a bad guy in TTs. So much of that show is of the take down the badguy/save the city at whatever the cost mentality and it's totally carrying over into TFA.

NLTAG: Shooting Nanosec really wasn't an option at any point once he had the Destronium. If someone is armed with an unstable caninster of explosive material shooting at them is usually not the best course of action. Considering how many times the canister swapped hands and was dropped kinda surprised it didn't just already explode nitro glisteren style. Heh cartoons.
Lord Madhammer
Well okay then. In that case, I guess it officially doesn't bother me.

I just don't like it when Sari overused her Key for every single occasions, like this one, to boost Bumblebee's up with that booster. Allspark key this, Allspark key that. Heh.

i agree on that, and it seems that it has repair limitations, like this:

QUOTE (TF:A episode thrill of the hunt)
Sari:i'll patch you up!
*bumblebee is dragged backwards by that collosus guy*
Sari:i just hope there wil be something to patch up!

and anyway, putting that extremely powerful thing in the hands of an irresponsible kid (sari) will of course make it overused, and who will repair the autobots when she isn't around?
Agent Zero
Eh, I didn't think the Autobots did anything overly immoral by racing Nanosec into old age. He was carrying something that would have blown up the entire city. If he was just carrying a sack of cash or something like that, I could see Father Time's point. As it was though, he had to be stopped as quickly as possible.

What they did was certainly understandable. What bugs me is how they seemed to feel absolutely no remorse over what they had to do. Maybe properly examining the ethics of taking most of a guy's life away is beyond the level of a kids' show like TF:A, but in that case they should've found another way to tie up the plot.

And I like that we don't see Prime being all heroic all the time, but when we do it's for these focused leadership and discipline role moments. He's a leader when necessary, not all the time yet. It's cool.

Just watch: In 20 years, [i]all[i/] the nostalgia-fuelled remakes of the Bulkhead toy will have that feature, just like every single Optimus Prime now has to have that bloody Energon-axe that he used in a grand total of one episode.

As I have done to a lesser degree for the previous Transformers cartoons, I will be providing FULL schedule coverage for Transformers: Animated. All future episodes will be announced in this thread, along with "new" or "repeat" indicators, and all schedule updates or changes will be reported here. Check for the latest posts in the thread for the most accurate and recent schedule news.

NEW EPISODE: "Total Meltdown," the previously-skipped episode of Transformers: Animated, will air this Saturday, 2/9, on Cartoon Network at 10:30 A.M./ 9:30 A.M. Central. It will be rebroadcast on Sunday one half-hour later than it was the day before at 11/10 central.

NEW EPISODE: "Along Came a Spider," Blackarachnia's debut episode, will air the following week on Saturday, 2/16 at 10:30 A.M./9:30 A.M. Central. It will be rebroadcast on Sunday at 11/10 central.

GLEE!

I can't wait to see what (if any) Beast Wars-ish homage is tossed in. Hopefully we won't have some chivalrous, doting Dudley Do-Right character who'll come along to turn her over to the good side.

You know, Animated's writing might actually be better than Ben 10's because so far, they've actually bothered to show the origins for the "rogues' gallery". In Ben 10, most of the rogues just show up and start Blot without much explanation for how they got their powers or why they do what they do.
The Diesel
Speaking of Transformers Animated and surrounding cartoons, when is the last time they showed a Teen Titans episode that wasn't a rerun that is three years old?

No, I think 2 years. last season aired in 2006 and 2008 is only beginning.

From what I understand there's a possibility of TT returning for a sixth season in 2009. Apparently this was the whole purpose of reairing the show after TFA. If that actually does happen is anybody's guess. Right now I just hope TFA has enough inovation to last 5 seasons. It would be great for the franchise not to have to reboot again for a long long while.

On topic: Bring on Black Arachnia. clap.gif

You know, after seeing Bulkhead in action in several episodes, I've come to the conclusion that I don't like his animation model. He looks more like a giant inflatable toy than a stylized robot. It also doesn't help that he seems to "blow up" when he transforms into robot mode because his vehicle mode shouldn't be bigger than Prime's. It kind of makes me think that the vehicle mode of the voyager sized toy, would be more in-scale with the vehicle modes of the toys of the other Autobots.

depends on how you define "new." It was "Total Meltdown," which hasn't aired on TV until now, but has been out on-demand for a while now.

Oh and I do question the statement that cartoons were at their low point in the 80's. I mean look at the toons that came out of the 80's.

Transformers
GI Joe
Ninja Turtles
Thundercats
SilverHawks
Strawberry Shortcake
Care Bares
The Simpsons (A perfect example of animation improvement over time)
He Man
She Ra
space ghost

and many others.

Most of which are still really popular and still have some sort of current spin off.

Yeah and I don't really care much about animation quality myself (give me a break, I'm only 14 years old for God's sake) give or take Fat Albert. Come one man, even the show within the show (The Brown Hornet) was better animated then the show itself. Yes Transformers, The Simpsons and even the TMNT are still enjoying their time in the spotlight. You do not bash animation of the eighties, ever! I know that the animation from the 80's won't hold a candle to today's shows, but there is no need to bash them at all.

Besides, the animation companies that on G1 animated some of the shows on that list (TMNT, GI Joe, The Simpsons and some others).

In short: Even though they had low budgets (although not as low as Fat Albert's), if you want to blame the shows from back then, remember this post and say to yourself. I understand now. If that doesn't work, Forget everything that I said and keep bashing the shows of the past. Because one day, if you said it in someones face, they'd give you a good talking to and beat you.

That's all I wanted to say about that. On to the show:

First up, I like how SS's voice is, dead on to G1's (and I only heard it in the fourth episode too, I missed the TV movie) .

Second, I think the animation is good, but not great.

Third, anyone talking about the abundance of animation mistakes. Watch Amarda and see for yourself.

and finally, I really like Sari and if anyone says otherwise, YOU SUCK (That's to SUPREMEQUEEN).

That's my opinion right there.
Mom
It's been confirmed by a prototype owner on TFW that Bulkhead cannot do the whole kibble-chair thing.

However, there's the newly reported Leader fig to look forwad to in this department.
Beast Megatron
Bulkhead's "chair" feature would be the hardest feature to market EVER. I would be embarassing for Hasbro to market a figure's "special feature" as a "backpack that converts to a CHAIR!"

Meanwhile, we have a new schedule update:

Saturday, 2/16: Along Came a Spider
Saturday, 2/23: Sound and Fury (NEW listing)

Both episodes air at 10:30/9:30c AM and are reaired the Sunday after their original airdate at 11/10c AM.

Because what he's been doing is illegal. Other people have been banned in the past for what he did. He was targeted probably because the huge amounts of views it's gotten, and that pretty much everybody on the internet TF fandom has been linking to or telling people where to find his youtube videos.

youtubing a TV show is no less illegal than torrenting it.
