DESTROY THE FOSSIL FEEDERS!

omg that episode was fantastic.

I also liked how they ended up being called Dinobots. Sure as hell beats "Dynabots" biggrintf.gif

Dynabots only makes sense if they existed before coming to earth. I always thought it was rather clever. Unfortunately we also are back to them being really really dumb.
Agent Zero
Just saw ep. 5.
I'll just say that the writing for this series continues to impress me.
Hobbes-timus Prime
Today's episode was great, which seems to be the standard for this show. I thought the "origin" of Grimlock's name was particularly well done.

I have fallen in love with this show by episode 5. Spoiler time.

The very last moment of the episode, where Grimlock transforms was... outstanding. The way the allspark created the autobots was cool, but predictable. The way Grimlock got his name by words Megatron was just speaking - great! Grimlock is exactly like G1 Grimlock in almost every way I remember him. Animated Grimlock may be a little smarter, even though he speaks simple. I get the impression these dinobots are still dumb, but a bit more "with it."

Anyway, fantastic episode. Looks like I'm in for the "long-haul."
Bestimus Mucho
I had a geek moment when I said to myself "but it's suposed to be Grimlock, Slag and Sludge. Swoop comes later."
Trainwreck
When you get to be that picky, you don't deserve to watch! icon_wink.gif

Look what they have given us. It's not SUPPOSED to be G1, but they sure as hell haven't forgot us old farts that grew up with G1.
Galzamus
Grimlock is dumb as a rock.. and Galzamus approves!

This is actually the first episode I was able to watch.. I loved it! Anyone notice that Bulkhead sounds alot like Patrick Star? ... probably the same guy. optimuslaugh2.gif
Bestimus Mucho
I can't wait for Starscream and Bulkhead to start holding hands and singing together.
Mom
HA, so Diaclone colored Swoop FTW!!! I do wish he still had his back boosters though, O'well. I really feel like we missed something with them switching the episodes around. Had I not known that they did it I may have overlooked it but knowing really makes it feel that way as Megatron just suddenly decided to "make friends" with the prof.
Blitz-Wing
YouTube has the episode up now for unfortunate cable-less souls like myself:

Episode 105 Part 1

Episode 105 Part 2

Episode 105 Part 3

Again, blatant G1 references abound. Particularly like how Grimlock is simple minded.
Bestimus Mucho
Dinobots looking like real Dinosaurs = IDW reference?

I think it has to do with a good way of integrating G1 characters into a new show. The story in this episode was the most solid of all TF: A so far. This was probably the best episode of any CN show I've seen in a long time.

Transformers G3 anyone? smiletf.gif

Today's episode was simply awesome. One of my favorite Transformers episodes ever.

David Kaye did a fantastic job as Grimlock. Sounded as if he came right out of G1.

I was worried that it would feel like we missed something, but since at the end of the previous episode Megatron is like "time for me to reveal myself to Prof. Sumdac" and at the beginning of this episode he's like "hey it's me, the robot head" and Sumdac is all OMG, it seemed fine to me.

I loved today's ep. Meg's was cool I like his new Lion king's Scar voice. Grimlock was funny.

i think the epide meltdown might just fit into any gap since it soulds like megatron isnt in it looking at this http://TFormers.com/transformers-transform.../8728/news.html

any way finaly seen it indeed the dinobots own and i loved the bit at then end when grim lock finaly transforms and pulls out his huge ass sword
Satan's Camaro
This episode had a lot of great things IMO - like how Prowl sneaks the Dinobots off at the end, and how the Dinobots were totally PWNING them in the battle.

I also like that I don't like Prime as much in this series - mainly because he's so new to this leader stuff that he doesn't even stop to consider that the Dinobots may actually be alive rather than just malfunctioning machines.

With all the trouble that the Dinobots were giving them, I'm really eager to see the thrashing Prime will get once Megatron is fully operational again.
DarkNarcoleptic
I like how they really are continuing character developments- the fact that Prowl was concerned for the sparks of the dinobots.

And yeah...just about everything else about that episode was great (btw Sari haters- she didn't show much this time)
Bestimus Mucho
I think Sari will make a lot more sense in the future. I'm still in the "dude, she's a robot," slot. It really makes sense when you look at the scene with the allspark downloading into the key and all the flashes that we see. It's gonna turn out more that she is the key and the key is just her way of focusing the energy. Also it makes Megatron her mommy and I just can't help but giggle at that prospect.

I hope I'm right... cause then I would pwn.

So the dinobots made their apperance? I missed this ep. though I'm not that dead set to set a season pass. Are all 5 dinobots there or just a few?

just swoop, grimlock and slag

as for Sari im guessing Cyborg we hear little bits about half organic machines from the docs lab in all the episodes so far (bar this one) such as that little robot that Hijacked the autobots base and in the first episodes the uber monster bug.. thing

The point was made about Sari being a robot, but she does say "this is how we humans refuel", when she and Bumblebee go to the drivethrough.

And, yes, I like this episodes too. However, Bumblebee's Electric powers + Ratchet's Magnetism powers =/= Electro-Magnetism.

If she is a robot/cyborg/whatever, she probably has no knowledge of that fact. I do not understand the logic behind this theory, FWIW, so this isn't coming from a supporter...

In a universe that has transforming robots that are ten billion years old, why couldn't them combined be electro magnetism? Not as if it's supposed to stand up to the rigors of a fourth grade education.... >.>

Oh, it works, and if I was 10 years old, I would've accepted it without hesitation. However, sometimes the law f Suspension of Disbelief can only go so far, and at that particular section, I quite literally said out loud "that is physically impossible!".

I wonder if people will start making that joke way, way more when the game sequel(With most of the original cast writing and voicing it.) comes out this year or next.

Well since this is the first episode I saw since the pilot three parter, I'd have to say I enjoyed it alot. though Bulkheads voice sort of reminds me of Broadway's voice from the Gargoyles cartoon.

Same voice actor?

I didn't see it till today. (work sat.s) and I was quite skeptical after the first "movie" ep, but today when the skin was coming off and I saw the red/blu/yellow behind the flames, I stood up and yelled at my wife, "BABY COME LOOK, THEIR GONNA HAVE THE DINOBOTS. MY OPINION OF THIS SHOW JUST IMPROVED 100%"

to which she replied " what the hell is a dinobot?"

anyway, I do like the writing in this show a lot compared to the last few. I remember several times in energon where op's plan to defeat megatron was "heres the plan, lets stop megatron". not much writing in there. compared to that this show has a lot of character developement.
Quickshift
I loved this episode. It was a great character introduction for the Dinobots, and good development for Prowl. I really like how they're finally giving a guy w/ a stealthy name a stealthy personality. He seems to be the most focused character thus far. (Meaning, the writers have put the most thought into him. He moves, acts, and thinks cohesively.)

The only mini-gripe I have is that Grimlock's voice strays into Frankenstein territory too often for my tastes. That is a SMALL gripe though.

Was anyone confused about why Megatron didn't pick up on how Sari's key made the Dinobots the most powerful bots thus far? I figured he'd see that and work it into his plans for his new army.

Also, since he mentioned creating an army in the image of the first 3 Dinobots, does that mean we may well see Snarl and Sludge yet?

Let's substitute "seem to be alive" for "most powerful bots so far" and he has a point. Although Prowl was the only one of the Autobots who thought that they might be more than "mindless machines". So I guess just being able to talk etc. doesn't necessarily mean anything for a Cybertronian.

It seems to depend on if they have something akin to a soul/spark. It's easy to create a robot that can talk, ala the droid that told them about the dinosaurs at the park. To create something that has true free will... That's unusual, and that's why they doubted the Dinobots were more than just talking machines.

This is way deeper than it should be. >.>
