So there's the story. The question is, is this Mel Gibson all over again, or was he really misinterpreted as he claims?

As a Jew, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Unlike Gibson he seemed sincere in his response. Furthermore, Hitler thought blacks, like Jews, were sub human, so I can't see Will Smith being an Adolf Hitler admirer. I think what we have here is a simple mis interpretation. Smith was trying to say that everyone does what they think is right, and that Hitler thought he was in the right, which is probably true.
All of that said, Smith should have known better then to say anything like that.

Anyway, just carious as to everyone else's thoughts on this, especially considering Smith's movie I Am Legend is performing very well at the box office.

Seems like this'd go better in politics? And uhh.. the article itself seems to clear it up pretty well. Tabloids are scraping lower than the usual bottom to try to make this "news".

The "Not even Hitler woke up..." kind of example of how no one thinks that they are evil is a common saying. This is F-cking ridiculous.
