he hasn't in any of his appearances in Batman or Justice League. Only when he transforms: "Gone, gone the form of man. Rise the demon, Etrigan."

episodes for next season sound very good. First one stars Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Wildcat. The second one features Mister Miracle. And the third is titled "Double Date," and it starts Green Arrow, Question, Black Canary, and Huntress. Yet another easter egg, since Question helped Huntress out in her comic when she was falsely accused of murder. And everybody knows about Green Arrow's relationship with Black Canary.
I'd like to see an ep that features all the Justice Society characters:
Sand, Atom-Smasher, Wildcat, Johnny Thunder and his Thunderbolt, Star and S.T.R.I.P.E., Mr. Terrific II, Dr. Mid-Nite II, and Hourman.

new info:
Justice League Unlimited begins a new season on Saturday, Feb 5, at 8:30 p.m. (ET, PT). The Justice League, led by Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, has grown much larger because the threats are even greater. This season, Black Canary, Shayera, Vigilante, Vixen and The Question step up to face such villains as Lex Luthor, Felix Faust and Tobias Whale. And Superman takes on Cadmus in a battle that will determine the future of the League.

in tonite's ep, Batman, John Stewart, and Wonder Woman get sucked back in time by Chronos the Time Thief. They end up in the wild west, and team up with Bat Lash, El Diablo, Scalphunter, and Jonah Hex (all DC legends). And at the end of the ep, they get sucked into the future. Batman's unconscious, but John and Diana find themselves surrounded by the Jokerz. The very same Jokerz from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. And just as they're closing in, Static Shock, Warhawk, and Batman (Terry McGinnis) step in to save the day. John is of course wondering why Static is all grown up. But the best part was when Warhawk looked at John and asked, "dad?" Too be continued...

tonite's ep was spectacular. So much good stuff happened.
SPOILERS!!!
We learn that Static, Batman (Terry), Bruce, and Warhawk are all that's left of the JLU. The Jokerz trashed the Watchtower and the Batcave, killing the other League members. They're now based in the remains of Terry's high school. Chronos and the Jokerz have conquered the city. Oh, and Warhawk's name is Rex Stewart, he's the son of John and Shayera. Anyway, time itself began to unravel thanks to Chronos' meddling. Even Diana phased out of existence, and John was replaced by Hal for a brief period of time. In the end, Terry was killed by Dee Dee and Static got sucked through time. Batman and John follow Chronos back to the beginning of time and stop him just before he reaches his destination and were able to reverse the damage that Chronos had done. But now only Batman and John remember what had happened. Oh, and given by the previews during the end credits it looks like Doomsday's gonna come back, just as I hoped he would. And the Watchtower gets invaded too, most likely by people working for Waller. New season of eps start next week, this is gonna be great!

nope, they never mentioned it before. I just assumed he was from Thanagar, but I think it's cool how they played him up as the son of John and Shayera. Ooh, and Vixen's gonna be shown more often, so you know some relational drama's on the way.

Plus the continuity with the other DC comic shows that have come before it. Superman, Batman, Batman Beyond, even Static Shock. I like the little nods to what has happened before, like the Power Girl episode that referenced the end of the Superman animated series.

Captain Marvel will make an appearance next season. And screamer, I already pointed out that Vibe's on the show. Amanda Waller was involved with Maxwell Lord and Prof Hamilton in Project Cadmus, which is what the bulk of season 2 will be about. She also made reference to "the Squad" which is most likely the Suicide Squad. It's fact that she's part of some gov't conspiracy, and she hinted that she knows Batman's identity when she called him "rich boy."

Also note that Jonah Hex refers to knowledge of "Time Travvlin'".
This is because, back in the day (1986), the DC Comic Book Universe was reset by a thing called "Crisis on Infinite Earths".
One nifty thing that was done was to launch Jonah Hex from the Wild wild West into a far flung future.
Eventually he made it back, but it explains his Olde West knowledge of high tech toys and time travellers.
It's a nice touch they made in the cartoon.

season 2 began tonite with an ep starring Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Wildcat. Bout time Ollie and Dinah hooked up, and I liked the recognition of Wildcat's training of many League heroes. He did train Batman and many other heroes in the comic continuity. Also liked the depiction of Roulette, which was pretty close to her comic persona. Cept in the comic, it was a fight to the death in the arena.
Starscreamer
Feb 5 2005, 09:46 PM
oooh, so a port of JSA instead, no Mr. Terific? if I recall Roulette was going after him in particular, at least in the comic...
Big Grim

in the comic, but this is a separate continuity. She's just the manager for a fighting ring between various superpowered fighters. Wildcat just happened to be the main attraction since he was undefeated. Plus in the comic, she's the daughter of the original Mr. Terrific. That's why she particularly despises the current one. But again, that's all comic continuity and doesn't affect JLU continuity.

Batman made some interesting points, but where else could they have put Doomsday. Batman's not a trusting person, but he should be able to trust in Superman to do the right thing. They're not the same as the Justice Lords. Also, Waller's council was rather interesting. Not only did they have Eiling and Hamilton (who we've seen in earlier eps) but Hugo Strange and Professor Milo from Batman: The Animated Series (which I totally geeked out on when I saw them). Milo even made reference to using the notes of Dr. Langstrom (Man-Bat). I have no idea who the woman was, I think Waller called her Tala. I don't think it's Talia, since she's not drawn the way we've seen her in past eps of both Batman and Batman Beyond. Batman was hardcore in this ep, how he immediately launched out of the watchtower like a (pardon the pun) bat out of hell. As well as how he found and got into Waller's place and got her number that only the president should know. This ep was full of some great Batman moments, but there's a lot in this show as it is.

The end of the episode sorta had me thinkin'. (I could be way off here since my comic knowledge is extremely limited at best). Batman seemed to think that the world had a right to protect themselves from the League. Could this lead to Mr Wayne to create detailed files on how to take down the league if they ever went rogue in a tribute to a comic storyline?-I think it was Tower of Babel or something
Big Grim
Feb 19 2005, 08:15 PM
they already did a story similar to Tower of Babel with Starcrossed. Instead of Batman using data on the League to take em down, Hawkgirl gave detailed files on the League to the Thanagarians. And in a fashion similar to Tower of Babel, the League debated and then voted on whether or not Hawkgirl should stay. And just like Batman, she left the league before hearing their vote.
I don't know if they'd go down a similar path in the cartoon. I just can't see the cartoon Batman turning on the League like that. Cadmus will be an ongoing plot this season, and will be resolved in the season finale.

The end gave us alot of ideas about future episodes like the Supes/Doomsday showdown (probably end of this season or next) Cadmus creating a clone of superman "superboy" to be their new anti-JLA and Lex becoming president and bringing back the Justice Lords/Crime Synicate of Amerika.
Big Grim
Feb 20 2005, 06:57 PM
true, for all we know the Justice Lords didn't permanently lose their powers. But I don't think we'll see a Superboy clone or another Doomsday match anytime soon. But Batman's lack of faith in Superman isn't totally off base, he did try to labotomize Doomsday after all, just like the other Superman did.

update on future episodes. This season is sure to heat things up, and it looks like we'll catch another glimpse of Batman Beyond as well. The first four new eps should air from May 14 through June 4.
Task Force X - Five incarcerated super villains are offered suspended sentences if they can survive an impossible mission: steal a deadly weapon from the Justice League’s satellite headquarters.
The Balance - Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl must put aside their feud and go to the depths of Tartarus when the evil sorcerer Felix Faust establishes dominion over Hades.
Double Date - Green Arrow and Black Canary race to stop The Question and Huntress from killing organized crime lord, Tobias Whale.
Clash - The world’s mightiest mortal, Captain Marvel, joins the Justice League but even his power may not be enough to foil Lex Luthor’s latest plot.
Mystery in Space - Responding to a deep space distress call, Shayera leads her reluctant teammates Vigilante and Vixen into a deadly trap.
Question Authority - The Question discovers a secret that threatens to shake the very foundations of the Justice League.
Flashpoint - To avenge a fallen comrade, Superman declares war on Cadmus.
Panic in the Sky - With the founding members out of action, the remaining 50 heroes fight to survive Cadmus’ ultimate attack on the Justice League.
Divided We Fall - When most of the Justice League is incapacitated, who will be left to stand against the League deadliest enemies?
Epilogue - 50 years in the future, the history of the Justice League is the key to Batman’s darkest secret –and his final destiny.
