Man, I've never read a better comic. The art sucks for the most part, but it's got the best damn plotline you'll ever find...

I dont know about the comics, I dont read it but like to read it atleast once. I would like to see the how strong the plotline is.

Much better than the anime, if only for one reason: The anime stops at around volume 8 of the manga. The manga goes all the way to 23 or so volumes.

Not to mention that the Manga actually has a definitive end to it, unlike the Anime.

I'm still kind of pissed at the fact that, after watching the Anime, I got spoilered by a friend on the ending of the Manga, without knowing what had happened in between. Which resulted in me feeling that my OTP was split up, and that she was going with the wrong guy.

As for the anime... The animation is Blot(For its' time frame), the voice acting sucks(Both in terms of the style of voices picked and the acting itself) except for Shigure, several of the best comedic scenes are ruined either by not taking it far enough or going too far and running the joke into the ground, etc etc etc.

Fruits Basket is not a good adaptation, nor is it a good anime. While anime adaptations of manga usually suffer in some way or another, most at least have some redeeming aspect. Fruits Basket has none. Stick with the manga only, people.
