Where does he get the milk from to make cheese?

They're all mammals.

Well, except Dinobot...but he probably wouldn't let you milk him, even if he were.

Regardless, we don't know what gender animal any of them scanned and replicated. Odds are good one of the Maximals can lactate despite their manly personalities.

Where do you get the urge to keep posting such stupid questions?

And I believe he got the milk from your mum.

Like Waspinator's deaths, the cheese can be chalked up to general cartoon rules. It may have been written better than G1, and done in CGI, but Beast Wars was still a cartoon.

Seriously, who would continue to ask similar monotonous questions over and over like this?
Goktimus Prime
Each of those poll questions is distinctly different - and most of the later poll questions - including the one you cited, were proposed by other fans, not by me. The loose vs sealed question was posed by Tripredacus. Furthermore, the polls are all contributing to refining the universal counting method for the survey - so it serves a functional purpose.

What purpose could wondering about the origins of something so blatantly frivolous and trivial as "Rattrap's cheese" possibly serve?

Individually the poll questions on their own may seem trivial but remember that they are pieces of a much larger picture, as manifested in the 2007 collection survey results.

Trying to justify your lame questions against someone else's lame questions doesn't make either of them any less lame.

Beast Wars is bigger than Cheeses.

I thought they got the milk from bonecrusher?
Talkie Toaster
they were from the future. after the autobots came to earth, i'm pretty sure they were able to replicate foodstuffs seperately by that point if they were able to fully replicate authentically a beast mode.

So, you completely don't mess with a series because some of its' fans are lame?

Talk about ill logic...

Tha ILLIST , yo! optimuslaugh2.gif

No I am just joking around. To be TOTALLY honest I don't mess with Beast Wars because the toys just leave me totally uninterested...I don't put much stock in ANY of the TF fiction out there actually (save some comics, like WWI).

It all comes down to quality of toys for me....and BW is just lame looking action figures in lamer looking organic animal shells...IMO.

Like anything else I think it boils down to what you grew up with. Hardcore BW fans grew up in the 90's and hardcore G1 fans (mostly) grew up in the 80's...all watching different shows... for the most part I think its the SUPERFANS and completists that are into BW, simply because it's "TRANSFORMERS" and it exists to be collected. I never understood the love for the show.

Just my 2 cents.

That's illogic as well, especially considering you don't know much about the series...

A. The cartoon was one of the best made in the '90s. The first season wasn't so good, but the second and third really kick ass.

B. in 1998 the Transmetals were debuted and lost most of the organic look.

C. Every segment of Transformers has its' fans. Some are diehard fans, some are not. Given how much Beast Wars stuff has come out, I'd say it's almost as popular with fans as G1 is.

D. Beast Wars lasted for about four years. Given how long it lasted, its going to pick up a whole lot of fans. You hear less about RID than you do Beast Wars, even though RID got a whole bunch of G1ers back into Transformers...
Goktimus Prime
I agree with Lucius.

I grew up with G1/G2 but got into Beast Wars too because:

1. It offered some really cool toys. Introduced in late G2, BW popularised and further developed new levels of engineering in Transformer toys such as fully articulated robot modes (with ball & socket joints offering more natural like movement) & greater durability. Beast Wars also saw far greater detailed sculpting and paint applications (including air-brushing) making the idea of using stickers to add detail look cheap and retarded. Beast Wars also popularised the idea of having weaponry concealed in alt mode whereas G1 and G2 often had them as loose accessories that could be easily lost.

2. The Beast Wars cartoon to date is the BEST story ever written for a Transformers television series. Things that appealed to me about the BW cartoon were...

a/ Greater consistency in world-building leading to tighter continuity and a continual story arc. Many episodes contained plot elements that were seeded to spawn off other stories in later elements (e.g.: the Vok).

b/ Characters with actual depth that you could care about, as opposed to the shallow one-dimensional archetypes that we got in the G1 cartoon. The characters also developed/evolved as the show progressed instead of always remaining static (again, as they did in the G1 toon).

c/ The stories were written at two levels - there was plenty of action and comic relief for the kids and at the same time more sophisticated elements (and even sexual innuendo) for adults - and of course, the story was linked back to G1 and G2 for the older fans! And also subtle references to Transfandom and other scifi that only more hardcore fans would notice! ("Wonko the Sane!!"). The good guys didn't always win - and quite frankly the good guys weren't always so good (e.g.: Depth Charge, a very dark anti-hero) and the bad guys weren't always so bad (e.g.: Dinobot II). Several stories brought up very serious social issues, such as "Transmutate" which explored the issues of right to life and euthanasia.

d/ Emmy-award winning animation - aside from the special effects, the animators did employ some really interesting visual effects not seen before in Transformers such as focus pulls.

e/ Greater toy-accuracy in the show models. Mainframe scanned in the toys and based their show models off those 3D scans (some more greatly modified than others).

BW is the best TF show PERIOD.

I have High hopes for Animated but I doubt it will surpass BW or even BM.

Maybe all lasting fiction needs some cheeses.
Goktimus Prime
+1 for truth.

It's the best TF show ever and the 2nd best TF story every written second only to the Marvel G1/G2 comics (which is obviously not a cartoon show).

I agree. The comics were way superior to the shows.
