people i have been giving this a b it of thought lately
when it comes to the autobot blurr, for all intents and purposes in theory he could literally be the single fastest autobot alive.
that is to say that his top speed could be the speed of thought possibly even the speed of light itself or even beyond that.
for all intents and purposes one could look at him as being a possible autobot counterpart to the Flash of dc comics
if anything i actually think it would be an interesting chance to explore blurr's character in a entirely alternate manner if for 1. his character model for vehicle and robot mode was literally an amalgam of g1 and armada blurr
for 2 his origins revealed him to be the lone survivor of an experiment in extradimensional physics gone awry with that origin revealing how he came to posess his incredible and rather unnatural enhanced meta cybertronian super speed
and for 3 his character came across in the time before the experiment as being originally in some part an immature albut somewhat hyperactive but well meaning if somewhat insecure person to being over time a no nonsense seriouse, confident, person in the time that played out between his surviving the experiment to the present day with his haveing become in some part the angst riddled loner type due to life and personel circumstances having forced him to learn some rather harsh lessons over the years when it comes to the fact that he has at times failed to live up to his self imposed expectations of what a autobot warrior and hero should be in life
what are your thoughts people?

The comparison with the Flash is a bit much. The Flash can run fast enough to travel through time (yes, it's ridiculous... it's a comic book) whereas Blurr cannot achieve anywhere near that kind of speed.
He's more like a cross between a supersonic jet and the Road Runner.

maybe they could do one of those "I go so fast that everything seems to be frozen, and I'm invisible to everyone." things. Maybe even have him in a spotlight (like say hotrod, UM, Kup and Arcee have) where he goes on a mission, leaving and getting back without anyone noticing. Then there's always the "Trapped going too fast" where he has to make people realize that he's there even though he's moving too fast for anyone to see. These have all been done in Flash comics of course, but it's fun stuff. Hmmmm.... Maybe Blurr could fight Apeface...

The biggest problem with Blurr is that he sucks.

It's interesting. I was reading the story of how Kup met Hotrod and Blurr in the UK G1 comics. the little backstories really make you appreciate the characters more usually. Except for Wheelie's story. the only Wheelie I liked was Dreamwave when he was raised by gnaw, and thus communicates through grunts and biting.

Wouldn't he just have been "eaten" by Gnaw?

Blurr could be infused with some sort of particles that make his normal movements fast and look blurry to anyone looking at him.

They should have running around like the cartoons.

I love G1 Blurr, he is an awesome character. It is interesting about his origins there, saberwolf, are they from the comics?
I wouldn't say he has any speed super powers like Flash or anything, just that he is one of the fastest Autobots in existence.

How about, he talks really fast and can drive as fast as the fastest guys on Cybertron who we don't see so the readers think he is the fastest evar?

He should be crushed under a giant boulder.
Wheelie too.

What if he's really fast, but not that smart?

Blurr and Wheelie = Cannon Fodder.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Spotlight for Blurr (he was my favorite character as a kid along side Ironhide), but I'd love to see more spotlights based on pre-movie characters instead of the entire movie cast. The only ones I haven't seen touched are Springer, Cyclonus and Scourge. Well and Wheelie of course, but that's God's way.

i think he has potential to be something special but as far as his powers i think their on par with novel concepts like mass shifting, teleporting and invisibility. i like to think the flaw with his skill is that he cant think as fast as he's moving so at top speed he finds it hard to cope with other things going on around him

Blurr and Wheelie = Cannon Fodder.
All of his cartoon/movie appearances have shown that he is one of those background guys with names that shoots during a fight, but we never figure out if he ever hits anyone.

*shudders at the thought* Not Blurr and Wheelie... in the same sentence... (I don't mind Wheelie as cannon fodder though)

Just imagine if Wheelie and Blurr fused together in some transporter malfunction. A Blurr-colored Wheelie named.. Whurr.
He chirps and dings. And not in a cute R2D2 way.

hmm no I don't think so... you must've meant to say Wheelie and Grimlock..?
