I mean really, I didn't get the green one cuz I thought it was just butt fugly. but I am a g1 guy so I was thinking of getting this. what do you guys think about him so far?

I got it some time ago (the green one never came here) and i can say that i like rescue ratchet better tan the green one. You should get it if you can.

It's a movie toy, I would go with the colour scheme that actually appeared in the movie (green).

well I don't care about what was in the movie. by that logic u shouldn't get any of the figs that weren't there. I just care about whether the figure itself is worth having. is it a good figure regardless of color is what I should have asked.

Movie Ratchet is one of the most instantly gratifiying TF figures i have ever purchased.

I am not exactly sure why - but everything about him is just a joy to experience.
His transformation is pretty straight forward in that "easy but not simple" sort of way.
His robot mode is porportionate and has some nice heft to him.

I have the first Green release, My personal opinion is that the Best Buy Metallic version is the one-to-get, but really i don't think it matters. This figure is a must own!

Get at least one version of this mold, Green, Glittery, or Whitey - he's fantastic in any color!

I have both, and consider this voyager mold to be pretty darn good. The white version is awesome, especially after I re-painted red the white mohawk.

Also, this goes for either color, the windshields can be placed in the front of the bot mode.. which adds some blue torso to the white version and is a nice homage to G1.

cool. thanks guys. I can't find the metallic one but I will pick up the g1 homage version. it will look good with t-cracker g1 repaint screamer and jazz. are they planning any more g1tastic repaints other than the upcoming optimus? I would like to get a g1 ironhide if he's in the works.

I bought the Green version and I display him with my Decepticon forces. He looks too Eeeevil!

Then I saw the other Fans were replacing his head...

The White version (with Alt Prowl's head) can look VERY G1!

Do a search and you can be quite happy with Rescue Ratchet and a little mod...

Recue rachet is quite nice. Rosedoggydog hooked me up with one for my birthday, and It's one of my favority movie figures, particularly in robot mode... I like him more for his displayability than his playability though...

I was contemplating on whether to get one or the other. So I went with the lime green version because it was in the movie and I personally like it better than red and white Ratchet. Which is funny because before the movie I was totally against the whole lime green look but I've grown to accept and love it. I think it makes him look more badass. Regardless, the figure in itself is a must have in either color scheme.
