Its not that often I learn something new. CARNIVOROUS FUNGI!! I had no idea even exsisted... guh copy.gif is right.

very interesting but not hugely surprising - we've long suspected that whales, as mammals, must have evolved from land-faring mammals (ditto manatees and dugongs). And we still have carnivorous plants today, so the idea of carnivorous fungi isn't too far fetched.

I have grown, Pitcher Plants, Venus Fly Traps and those sticky buds. I have experience of carnivourous plants, but for the fact that a JellyFish sting left me with a fungal infection in my left foot that left me both in agony and itchy for 4 years and took 2 years to fully heal WITH THE RIGHT MEDICINE I probably wouldnt be all that freaked out about the fungi.. I thanks to that now find Jelly Fish both hauntingly beautiful AND scary beyond scary, they make me itch horribly just looking at them.
