We've all got teams and then we've got teams. The team where I live is the Buffalo Sabres and they are on a 6 game winning streak. The team I like is the Phoenix Coyotes (by default). My hope this year is that the Coyotes either make the playoffs or have more points than the Sabres. They did at one point but we'll see what happens.

How could anyone not cheer for the best team ever?

Ok, a bit of an overstatement. But hey, it beats being a Maple Leafs fan.

Well I like the Predators, but I won't admit it in public.
Scott Munroe (graduated from my college) is playing for the Flyers now, so I sort of follow their progress.

They so should have decided to keep those Vintage jerseys they wore as the third the last couple of years.

I know. I hate that f*cking whale logo. It's even worse now that there's no colour to it.

They wanted to capitalise on the old colors, but kept the new logo. Worse, they (like Dallas) decided to put WORDS on their jersey. I got a story for ya that I got from a friend. My friend was at the store, and they had those hockey card packs where it was just a bunch of cards in the package and you could see who was on the outside. This one guy looks at one and says "I didn't know that Mark Messier played on the Whalers!" My friend said he wanted to slap him.

Avalanche.

They are like the Red Wings. They somehow manage to keep contending as long as Joe Sakic is there. Like on the Red Wings and how Steve Yzerma.... errr or like the Maple Leafs and how Mats Sundi... wait... they're not THAT bad. But I miss the Tom Fitzgerald days...

Well the SAbres lost to the Kings... 8-2. I fell asleep when it was 5-0. Good news is that my fantasy team did really well because I had the brains to draft Kopitar and Brown (and Handzus unfortunately.)

Luongo did what he could, but the rest of the team was tired as hell. It was lucky to get to a shootout in a lot of ways.

Well the Sabres are doing better, but the Coyotes are running around 500 since getting Bryzgalov, which is better I guess. The Jets... they still don't exist.
Idk Sanford is OK, he's played a little in St. Louis. The other guy, never heard of him.

I went to my first regulare season Sabres game this year. The Sabres lost to the Senators 5-3. It was pretty entertaining nonetheless. This time no one wanted to fight me which was a plus. It was also a silver game, which means it was the most I ever paid for a ticket EVER. Well that is considering that I haven't paid for most of the games I went to in my life....

The Sabres lost to... uh.. the Devils in a shootout, but I only watched the first period. So no wins in 7 games but still got some points in those ones at least. Patrick Kaleta rules btw.

The rumors of Washington trading Ovechkin can now stop. They resigned him to a 13 year deal... Some minor trades and waiver claims made, the best is Sergei Samsonov going to Carolina. Fans in Toronto also are trying to figure out why the Leafs claimed Dominic Moore of waivers from Minnesota. And for some other unknown reason, the Anaheim Ducks trade for ANOTHER tough guy by landing Darryl Bootland, this the same day after Brian Burke's interview with the fan revealed they were looking for scorers.

Yes, it all started when JFJ (their GM) tried to fire Paul Maurice earlier this year and it was vetoed by the board that runs the Leafs.

Well it's been a long painful road for me as a hockey fan, but I'm feeling confident it will payoff soon!
I'm a Blackhawks fan.
Still a struggling young team, but with the teams biggest problem finally gone it looks to be a much brighter future for the franchise. Kane and Toews seem to be the real deal, just need to mature a bit. Toews has been out and the Hawks have struggled a bit without him, but it's been a tough year with injuries again.
If we can add some more quality veterans and keep our young guys healthy they should mature into one helluva team.
We've been gone far too long, but we will be back very soon.....
And in a BIG way!
