So my buddy's birthday is Friday, and of course Christmas is next month. I bought him the WM Masterpiece Starscream, since he digs the old cartoon. He's not a collector at all, but loves the figure just the same.

I gave Loki a christmas gift once but I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS. Something cool I hope. Or wait, Loki gave me a present but I can't remember who I gave a present to... WE NEED TO DO THAT AGAIN. IT RULED!
i'm planning on buying a couple real gear guys or a couple FABS for toys for tots
I give out transformers to younger members of my family.
I'm the only person in my family and group of friends that likes TFs. Aside from you guys, of course. And no I'm not buying any of you any TFs, you already spend too much on those things. 
FWIW I did send a copy of the movie to some soldiers in Iraq who are relatives of people from my work, part of a care package drive.

I bought my buddy Hasbro Comm Series Skywarp, and the UM/SW two pack, his first childhood TF was a Skywarp. I doubt i'll make a collector of him though.
Most of the hospital kids I've come in contact with LOOOVE Transformers. The other day, I was at the hosp, and some kid had a Leader Megatron.
And I've always given TF's as gifts. It's more universal than Batman, and Power Rangers, apparently.
There was a kid I knew 2 years ago, he had aplastic anemia, I believe, and I was tasked with supporting him during his upcoming Bone Marrow Transplant, much like the one I had some years previous. And he came to my house, and was in awe with all my minicons (Back then, my TF counted 50-60, and not 150 like it now does), and we talked TF, the availability of some he saw in my collection, and so I helped him expanding HIS collection. Then he went over to Seattle to recieve his BM Transplant, and I would send him TF's regularly. On Christmas, I sent him Energon Mirage, and Energon Ironhide (Well, it was a two pack...otherwise I would have not sent him Ironhide, but his tastes were less...picky than mine and Ironhide isn't awful), and after that, for 3 months I didn't send him any new TF's, because I did not have time, y'know, I had a bit of a crisis going on then, but he would sometimes talk with me over the phone, and he looked and sounded fine.
So then Cybertron Noisemaze/Sideways came out, and he was my favorite TF ever. So I bought him one with a DVD.
On March last year, he passed away due to a quick and short fight with an infection. After everything had gone so well.
I still have that Sideways around.
At his service, I am told, there was a table with a few of his belongings. His glasses, and Ironhide and Mirage. I did not go due to my...not being able to go places in those times. I resented that after a while.
But I had finally found someone to talk TF with in person, even though he was far younger than me. We had our medical history to share, and TFs too.
