With no chest automorph button to break. bumblebeetounge.gif The plastic does look pretty cheap tho.

So what's the deal on these things? Doesn't Hasbro or Tomy have a license so other companies can't make the KOs? Like the idea of the guns though.
HolyLancer
Oddly, he doesn't really look that bad, compared to other KOs...Yeah, the plastic looks a bit cheap, but hey, could be worse.
elcamino88
i like the little yellow guns he comes with, id buy him just for those.

My first thoughts are Why? Why would anyone want to buy a toy that warmed shelves for the same price plus $13 shipping

Second thought is, at least it doesn't have those black "dirt" marks Hasbro's version came with clap.gif
Autobot032
Actually looks nice for a bootleg. I'm impressed. Though I will admit that the Automorphed chest works better on the figure, than this version.

I don't know where you live where either Deluxe Bumblebee warmed shelves. In my area, classic camaro bumblebee has sold out just as well as Concept camaro, pretty much since day one...

You're right for the most part. However, my Wal-Mart didn't sell too many figures (Bumblebee included) at first. In fact they had cases sitting in the back, filled to the brim with figures they just couldn't get sold. Then the movie came out and they couldn't keep 'em on the shelves.

For a while there, I wasn't sure the toys would sell at all.

Glad I was wrong, but that gives you an idea of how many were littering the pegs and shelves.

All of the Stores in South Western Ohio still have triouble keeping stock in and not a single BB ever warmed shelves around here.

O_o...

There's a lot of land to cover in that region, but I'm guessing we're talking about the Cincinnati area specifically? If so, that's pretty ridiculous.

I suppose I can't go as far as to say he is a shelf warmer now but he was around for a while all over the state of Oregon up until 08 BB hit shelves and my guess is that the scalpers just picked up any bee they could find. I always read that not many people liked the mold. I know I never really considered getting him when I knew an 08 was coming

That's a pretty close assumption though my toy runs are a giant circle encompassing Cinci and the northern surrounding areas.

That's terrible. When *I* can get them, that means they've pretty much hit everywhere. I got lucky this time, I guess.
HolyLancer
Even back in the weeks surrounding the movie (A couple weeks before, the week of, and about a week after) I did see a lot of TFs on the shelf, but never a 'Bee. Granted, the classic camaro version IS a bit more common than his Concept couterpart, but it's still to the point where I can go into a store, see two or three one day, go back the next day, and they're all gone.

Even back before the movie, the only ones I commonly saw were Bonecrusher, Brawl, Barricade, and Jazz.
