me i always figured that one could simply look at them as being a mix of enhanced combaticon technology, stunticon, seekercon, constructicon, predacon, targetmaster and possibly technobot technology.
a mix in which each member of the team represents a certain type of decepticon technology
for example
leozak gaihawk and hellbat as a group represent enhanced decepticon seeker technology.
with jarugar representing stunticon technology
killbison representing combaticon technology
and drillhorn representing constructicon technology.
but with each member of the team being an optimal mix of those technologies with the targetmaster beast partners representing predacon and targetmaster technology.
with the team as a combiner super warrior posessing technobot technology when it comes to how seamlessly tha can act, react and fight as a truly single amalgamated being.
what are your thoughts on the matter people?

I dunno, I think it was a good idea to type it that way. It sure made me click on the topic!

... breastforce is the actual name of them
the targetmaster type beasts that come with each member forms their chest, hence breastforce.

Breastforce was an extension of the nebulons i think, the line was realy neat and kind of hard to get. As for the full origin, I'm not sure, one of the resident japanese experts should know.

toywise yes, canon-wise no. Nebulans never existed in the Japanese animé. The Headmasters and Targetmasters partners were actually robots from another planet called Master and NOT organic humanoids. They're also known as Breastmasters.
As a toy concept they're bloody awesome - the breast plate ejects to transform into a small animal or their gun. And the best thing about them as a gestalt team is that they're the first G1 gestalt to feature almost all self-contained parts! The only part of Lio Kaiser which is a separate accessory is the head! The fists, thighs, feet etc are all built into the toys!
This is something that is largely standard these days, but back in G1 it was just so cool! In terms of visual aesthetics and engineering, I rank Lio Kaiser as easily being the best G1 gestalt figure.
The UK subtitles use the more arcane spelling "Brest"

lol... the funny thing is that saberwolf isn't a noob... he's just... well, if I said it I'd probably get mod-spanked.

His posts are getting better though. They've elevated from being "nobody gives a Powerglide" to "haha what a n00b"

"Breastforce" it is I guess. Apologies to saberwolf. I stand corrected.

And here I thought it didn't get any stranger than "Headmasters."

You want something far weirder than Breastmasters?

...and that's just ecchi - there's actual Transformers HENTAI out there! I've seen it (and NO, I don't collect it... it was someone else's*)
*fine don't believe me, you Powerglideers.

Having watched all of Victory, here is what I can remember.
Gaihawk: former comrade of .... the Sixshot recolor guy. Sent to prison for .... some reason ... busted out by BreastForce.
Hellbat: just appeared out of nowhere, got into the Destrons by giving Dezaras information.
All the other guys where on the team from the beginning, although they didn't always show up right away.

Leozak was there pretty much from Episode 1 of Victory. I think Hellbat was next, then Jaruga, Drillhorn and Killbison. There was supposed to be another by the name of Cobra (name?) that was a helicopter and was a Breastforce member. However, Hellbat was jealous and thought this newcomer would throw him out, so he got Cobra killed. That left Gaihawk, who was in a penal colony and was subsequently busted out.
I thought that was the best team idea EVER. Not only were they Targetmasters, their partner was also a triple changer (animal drone/weapon/chest armor) AND they could combine into a gestalt robot! Although I liked the idea of Landcross, 6 vehicles that could transform into 6 small robots, 3 larger combined robots (a La Energon style) or one gestalt robot.
In fact, the whole toy line of Victory is pretty sweet. Maybe that's because it never made it to the US. And by the way, Dezarus was also a Breastmaster and had TWO drones

Oh that's right! I forgot about Cobra and his 2 minutes of screentime. He looked really awesome, like a robotic Serpentor.
