Shout Box Rules

-All TFans board guidelines apply to the Shout Box as well.

-The Shout Box is highly visible to all members, and any member using it should keep that in mind. Please exercise common sense in what you post in the Shout Box. Specifically, there shall be no discussion of an explicit sexual or otherwise graphic nature. Any violation of this will result in banning from the Shout Box. Banned members may be reinstated at the sole discretion of the TFans admins.

-Despite the fact that the Shout Box is highly visible to all members, it does not instantly become your own personal advertising section. If what you have for sale comes up in normal conversation, feel free to talk about it, but repeatedly posting your 'Items for Sale' will get you banned from the Shout Box. This also extends to personal websites, message boards, auction listings, etc. Note: on-site fan creations can still be posted, but please use proper discretion.

A couple of minor suggsetions, well one main one really.
Quotes from movies and inspirational words are ok, but no pointless spam like 6 or 7 lines of goomagoomagooma goomagoomagooma sort of stuff. It may be frustrating when you are the only one online using the box but when you are doing that you are basically just screaming out TALK NO ME NOW, like a petulant kid.

Cut the pointless offensive remarks out, someone asks for help or advice try and offer it if you can otherwise just politely say I cant comment or something like that.

That makes sense.

Intelligent conversation I get but these stupid arguments/spam attention whores that pop up every now and then really need to start using AIM or MSN. It's designed for than kind of crap and it can be as personal/explicit as one wants. A forum shoutbox on the other hand is not.

For the most part I find it's better minimized.

The flood control never works with me - or more accurately it works too well. It seems that I can only shout once a day. :/ I sometimes come back and try to shout again like hours later and it blocks me.

LordMadhammer, I understand that you blocked me yesterday for spamming, I'm sorry. I'm sort of new to this site so can you find it in your heart to maybe, possibly, give me a second chance? 07evil.gif I didn't know that spamming was considered posting two pictures depicting a comical representation of Spongebob Squarepants, which is what we were talking about at the time, go figure. I'm sorry for the trouble that I caused in the shoutbox, and now I understand what not to do there.
Hot Rod
so can I post { hotdog.gif } or not?

Interesting. And I see nothing in the shoutbox guidelines that mentions not being negative, yet I got a warning for being so. scratchchinhmm.gif Quite puzzling.
