I just started watching Death Note on AS and was wondering how many of you have seen it or have just started watching like me? I'm not a huge anime fan, but I'm a little disappointed that I'm just now discovering this one. For me, there's a lot to like here. One thing I've noticed is that the english dubbing isn't so bad. A lot of anime just get the rush treatment leaving them without a good voice cast *cough* Bleach *cough*.

Death Note seems to be an original story with a strong plot. The artwork is solid. And the overall tone of the show seems pretty consistent with the subject matter. I'm pretty happy to find that this show isn't watered down for a younger audience as well. So, can anyone that has seen it tell me how long this series is and if it will hold up to my expectations?

I didn't know it was on Adult Swim now. I've had the first 4 episodes on a DVD but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Great anime, sorta gets boring about the 1/2 to 3/4 mark into the series after a certain someone kicks the bucket but picks up again in the last quarter. Ruthless & dark in an ingenious way. There are 26 eps & 2 Live Action movies which uses a Red Hot Chilli Pepper song for the theme song, that are also a must see also. didn't know cartoon network picked it up either although i don't really watch that channel anymore and prefer not to see anime dubbed...

I was hoping it would be a shorter series, so 26 eps isn't bad. Live action movies huh? I'll have to check those out. I hate watching dubbed anime too, but I'm too cheap/lazy to find subbed eps. I pretty much stick to dattebayo for subbed eps of shipuuden and bleach.
