I have always had it in my head, and some down on paper, to see "The Forgotten" Diaclone variant colored TF's brought to life in a comic or series of some sort.

Ever since I discovered Diaclone toys, I was inspired with continuing the Autobot and Decepticon ranks with all new characters. It has been some time since more recent remakes have hit on this idea, what with E-hobby's re-release of some molds and colors.

I have unfinished fan-fics on the subject, most of the original toys to draw from, and many other takrar robot related series, such as blockman, that could also make for interesting stories.

The company who creates the new TF comics seems to really focus on obscure Transfan instances, and might like the idea.

I was thrilled when Bumper was introduced, not so thrilled when no new official key chain was produced (not that I need one but it would have been nice to see the official toy finally).

I recently purchased a Revotech Optimus to paint like Powered Convoy, and am on the look out for another Titanium Magnus to do the same.

Pictured Overload (blue optimus/PC) as the reluctant hero, looked up to by others as "Prime" like, but far from it. Underestimated by Decepticons, and turning out to be almost like one of them.

So many potential characters...

For the Diaclone Powered Convoy I prefer the name Nightwatch (Overload? mmm, noooo, Overload Armada is a completly different autobot! I know that the micromaster is the same, but... the Armada??), that is the one just given to a repaint of movie Optimus Prime.
I also like the name "Hellraiser" for the red Sunstreaker, and "Lowlight" for the black Ironhide.
These names suggest me the idea of an autobot team far from Cybertron, protecting some Primus's secret, hiding it... Some "door" to somewere or somewhen else, but it could be too similar to "Armada-the worlds collide"...
What do you think about this idea?

The "door" aspect could tie in with the 2 Microman/change lock bots, Deadbolt and "DialMan", that needs more work.

And yep, the name Overload came from the Micromaster blue truck. Color skeme was the same, and some dealer swore up and down it was called "Convoy" in the Japan release. It's been a long time and I never bothered to research it if it was true.

I had Magnum, Switchblade (tripple changer jet, copter, robot) Browning ransacking some outpost, and getting caught by Overload or Nightwatch (either name doesn't fit exactly with the Optimus and Magnus, should probably be something Greek with a "US" at the end) who they underestimate as being out for justice and playing with in the rules...

Heck, my version of all that, even the Tyco Transformers get tied in.

There's 2 whole moons around Cybertron, where'd they come from. There's an entire planet with many secrets, a dark side of the planet even.

I never really came up with names for most of the variants. There's probably a list I started somewhere, a long time ago.

Did bluestreak have a double? Factory error causing 2 identical bots? One painted blue the other silver?

Tiger Tracks and the Red Sunstreaker "Bro's" like SS and SS or are they competing brats?

Red Mirage, does he really fit the original Tech of Mirage being "Untrustworthy", and we had a swap in stats?

Red Bumblebee and Yellow Cliffjumper, what are they like? Go really crazy and include ALL the minibot variants, even the Brawn that transforms like Bumblebee model kit??? Seems to be an endless supply of bots to use huh? Mini Spies.

I'd think Optimus would take the best of the best...ok realistically he'd take what he had and hope for the best, but that would still leave behind either Rogues that were already off fighting or misfits. And misfits make for better stories. Mix of both, probably even better.

What if the Insecticons met up with the Deluxe insecticons, and got creamed, inferrior tech, food perhaps? Then what if they got rebuilt into the Warudious merge machine?

Lots of ideas. Lots of material to work off of. Wish I could do that for a living, even for a little while...
