Just curious whether people think that today's spinoffs are better than the spinoffs of yester-year....

Star Trek, but only in the case of of DS9.
But, I voted for Angel. That was one hell of a ride, and consistantly good.

I know my /least/ favorite are the CSI spin-offs. Don't get me wrong, I

CSI, but the actors in Miami make me puke!

i went with Frasier i like csi and the others. but Frasier works just as well as a stand alone program with out the cheers history
but trek is going to win this as thier are 1000000 of closet trekies on here

Cheers was such a big hit back in the day and Frasier just keep the laughter going, the fact that Kelsey Grammer played Dr. Frasier Crane for 20 years speaks mountains for how much people loved that character.

Star Trek, they could do as many spin offs as possible and it will still be good. DS9 was the best series by far, Enterprise is becoming very good and Voyager was great, not perfect, but it had it's moments. Hope Star Trek carries on for a few more years before retiring, it's the only programme left these days that can show just what quality programming is all about.

You gotta go with a classic like All In The Family. C'mon, you know you liked The Jeffersons as well. Also,Good Times is technically a spin-off of this as well.

Gotta go with Buffy. The spinoff kept the same themes but made it apply to a slightly older audience. Plus, both shows were plain cool.

I'm on a jury this week so I voted for L&O. I wish you had included the classic spin off "The Critic" and "Futurama" from the Simpson writers. Well, I guess Mary Tylor spun into Rhoda that spun into Taxi and then into Cheers and Simpsons and Fraiser...Help ME!!
