I got married yesterday. Very cool stuff. Now I'm waiting to see how long it takes for me to become mysteriously more attractive to women for some reason that they are unable to comprehend.

very fun, well, for the bed action "testing the springs" and all that, and you get a horde of rampant sex addicted babies from day one...

In all seriousness, congrats you Scottish Food thing... O_o

Congrats and good luck! I've been married ovr 7 years now, and it truly is great. There is a grain of truth, however, to the saying, "A man is not complete until he's married- then he's finished."
The sex *will* slow down, unless you married one of those sex addicts you see on Maury Povich. I personally doubt they exist. But married sex can be exceedingly hot, best in my life. Then again, there's the old joke: "Why is the bride smiling when she walks down the aisle? Because she knows she'll never have to give another BJ." Still happens, just the interval in between gets a lOt longer.
I'm sorry, don't mean to generalize or bring you down. It really is the best way to spend your life IMO. God bless.

Well its a myth I believe in then, I know its happened to me and it started soon after after marriage. A funny thing about that topic though, Friday after work we were having that same discussion.
Yes, men can age like a fine whine (some like a keg) they get better with age. Women...well they just age (shh...don't tell my wife I said that).
Welcome to the brotherhood of "No Ma'am".

i think the sex will happen less frequently between the two of you but over all it will end up being more than you would've had if you were single.... unless you pay for hookers....
i'm at 3 and 1/2 tears and the bj's happen more frequently than before.... maybe i'm just lucky... we've been together 10+ years and she still likes it.

BJ = ELITA.. May or may not include teabagging, ask about that before you expose the meat.
And haggisman, congratulations. Now chicks will want to bang you because you show you're faithfull. (Answering the question why wimmin think you're hotter now. (Please cheat with me, irony'd.) Want untill you push a babycart, then you're faithfull and are willing to reproduce.)

There's no reason that sex has to go away or be less frequent once you get married... it all depends on where your relationship's at. I've been married for almost 12 years and there have been times when it's been near-nonexistent and times when it's been almost a daily occurence. Just take care of your relationship and don't let stuff come between you. Er, so to speak.

That's what I thought too, but didn't want to say it since I'm getting married in 11 months and don't have any marraige experience yet.

I've found that sex, or the lack thereof, is usually an indicator of what's going on in the relationship. Sometimes it's simple stuff like "we had a fight;" other times it's more complicated and talking about it might bring up some deeper issues. There was a time when both of us were so immersed in our jobs that we really didn't make time for each other. Our relationship was stagnating and it showed. So we had to make some "life changes" for things to get better.

True. As I've said, we've been together for six years so we've experienced our high points and our low points. Like a few other people on these boards I have clinical depression, so ironically I'm usually the one who becomes sullen and withdrawn from time to time and doesn't want sex

"Clinical" depression always seemed like such an odd expression to me... it sounds so clean
