What? That's how his arms's canon look like? It's nothing like in the movie.

Three things I notice: a, you didn't extend the nose part in jet mode; b, you don't seem to have any photos of Megatron with his chain-claw extended, and c, how did you get the fusion cannon to stay open like that? Did you do the spring-swap (open forearms, remove spring from cannon, add to chain-claw, close forearms), or is there a part of Megatron's right arm that's supposed to "get in the way" of the cannon with spring retracting?
I have to agree, Leader Megatron is a pretty good figure, considering the limitations of making an actual transforming figure from the movie design; I'd have preferred it if he had gotten the metallic paint scheme of the Best Buy exclusive Voyager class figure. Certainly a HUGE robot and vehicle.

Leader Megs is one of my favorite movie toys, if he had a movie-accurate color scheme, he would be perfect

Got him yesterday, he's not bad, though not as good as Leader class Prime. His legs are a pain to sort out when transforming him into his jet mode and his chain/whip hand is a bit on the annoying side since fitting the 'chain' back in is a pain, it could have done with a gimmick to draw it back into the arm.
But other than his problems, he's not bad. He looks like he hould in terms of a evil, power hungry bad guy. Shame his head doesn't have a lot of articulation other than flipping his head up, due to not having a neck. Not really worth the price tag, but worth while if you're looking for another Megatron in the collection. I wouldn't fully recommend him for kids because he can be a touch on the fiddly side.

For the first time ever and I do mean ever, a Remy Gallery has made me not want a figure. Hell is freezing over as I type. Remy even made me want Energon Insecticon so this is major.

I did get Leader Megatron myself, but painted over the figure with silver paint and blackwash to make it closer to the movie model. While the figure does have its problems, I still prefer it to the Voyager class figure. (One other thing I did notice is that the package art shows the original Megatron head design; I failed to keep my packaging to see if this was the case for mine. I'm pretty sure Legends Class Megatron uses the original head design...)

Insecticon was also $8. Megatron sitting pretty at $40 makes him a harder "impulse buy".
Also, Insecticon was the first Decepticon in my modern collection. Funny that.

Sorry, the toy is a good representative of his movie incarnation, point to me is that I think the movie incarnation is a very bad design in itself (as in it looks more like a random flunky then a powerful evil leader). This one I'd not even consider getting as a Legends version.

I probably dislike the Megatron design as much as you do (though it is growing on me, the jet mode especially), but the Legends toy is, I think, actually the best of all the Megatron toys. I picked it up on a whim (Legends are cheap, that's one thing going for them...), and found myself pleasantly surprised by how fun he is.
