It's only $5 more from Amazon to get the HD DVD version but I don't have a player or an HDTV yet. I really don't want to but two copies...
DarkNarcoleptic
Two-disc special edition, most likely. thumbsup1.gif Of course it will also depend on retailer incentives where I buy the movie.
Hot Rod
I teetered between 2 disk and 2disk HD... since I could get an HD DVD player for $150 (360'd) but I decided to go with just the 2 disk since HD DVDs are still so expensive.
Lord Madhammer
2-disc, I love special features
Hobbes-timus Prime
2-Disc DVD.
trench
I'm getting the 2-disc DVD, most likely at Best Buy since I want that metallic Megatron.
Buddykiller
so uh, i'm guessing that there should only be two choices here

two disk
two disk HD

if i had an hd player and television i'd go HD (god imagine how sweet all that robot goodness will be, i'm sure circuit city will have it on display for a while so i think i'm at least going to make a trip to circiuit city if for no other reason than to see prime rip BC's head off in hd), but seeing as how thats a no go, i'm going with the standard dvd 2 disk edition. just can't wait man.
MikePrime
If there's a RiffTrax commentary for it, then I will rent the movie. Otherwise, I think seeing the movie twice in the theater is enough for me.
ROSEDOGGYDOG
walmart 2 disk
Optics
2-Disc DVD & 2-Disc HDDVD just in case my 360 happens to see red.... again
Calcifer
Two disk version. Extra's are betterness.
Teh INTERNETS ^_^
2 disk DVD, although not til December
Sangron
2 disc from Walmart
Prime-Collector
I'm gonna get the Target one with the Transforming Box. That way I get a coaster with My Prime!
Rundown
PC is buying the movie?!?!

It's one of the seven signs.
Hobbes-timus Prime
I'm buying the Target 2-disc set.

He's gonna get real tired of hearing that over the next month. 07laugh.gif

And, as long as we're talking about the DVD...it appears that "Devastator" has survived to home video: http://boards.transformersmovie.com/showthread.php?t=13481
Empty Cranium
Voted 2 disk set. Now, to choose between the Target or Best Buy set, that is what's going to drive me nuts. I luvers me the tiny Cliffjumper and battle damaged Prime figures... but the transforming DVD case is quite unique.

scratchchinhmm.gif Decisions, decisions... bloorgh.

I'm hoping that this next sentence I type is correct and that the fandom will all sigh a collective easy breath. *Ahem* That could very well be an "international" bootleg copy the guy was watching and the REAL DVD set did fix the mistake. But, that's only a guess on my behalf...
phelps
really waiting for the blu-ray, but might buy dvd.
masterminicon
Target 2-Disc Edition.

I want the transforming case.

I was going to get the Wal-Mart one, until I found out that it's not the two-disc version that has the animated version of the prequel comic, but the single disc version with another disc that has JUST that content on it. I need my extras.
UNGERMAX
I'm getting the Blu-ray edition...[sighs] huffermad.gif
Bumblebee
2 disk special DVD....pre-ordered from Futureshop...comes in a metal case with Autobot or Decepticon insignia...I chose Autobot

That looks cool --> LINK

I guess I'm going with the Best Buy 2 disc set for $22.99. I don't see the point of paying $7 more for two little figures that I don't want... or maybe I'll order it from Amazon and not have to pay shipping or tax scratchchinhmm.gif

Beast Megatron
I'm getting Target's 2-Disc Special Edition with the transforming Optimus Prime case and free comic book.

no, i've got the retail dvdrip (i'm buying it tuesday, i should be able to say that without taking much heat) and it is indeed devastator. scene dvd-releases are always from retail R1 source when available.

I'm so happy the name is still Devastator I'm not even gonna rip on you for the download. clap.gif
Buddykiller
jmo, devastator fits the character better. not only where the army special forces continually pounding him with sabot rounds, but he stood through both ratchet and ironhide's innitial attacks as well as many of BB's.

if i just spoiled something for you than for shame, you should have seen this movie in theaters because trust me, wow that theater sound system and huge Powerglideing screen add so much to this flick. theres alot of parts that seem almost silent and it's because the tv lacks the ability to reproduce the frequencies being put out.
Hip-Hoptimus Rime
Woo-hoo! Email from Target, my movie has shipped!

Here comes hyper-cool Transformery goodness! It's coming to me at work, and I'm afraid I might try to watch it on my portable DVD player in the car on the way home! Watch for me on the news, TFans!
Ebonsaber
I wanted the transforming case but reservations were hoarded out, as usual. (limited to 20 pieces per store, some have made reservations of up to 10 pieces)

I think it's kinda dumb that they left it that way, since it was a mistake and all.

I'm gonna pick up 3 of the Target Exclusive Transforming cases. Then I'll probably buy one of the 2-disc editions from Best Buy. I'd go to Circuit City but they don't have an exclusive, only hats that they're giving away to the first 20 customers. I have 3 of the Target exclusives on hold, my friend that works there kindly put away some for me today...he told me they should be getting plenty at their store (Eagle Rock, CA)

Bought the WalMart 2-disc set today. Watched the "Beginnings" DVD and thought it sucked big time so I'll be returning it and getting the 2-disc special edition for the exras.

I guess it's part of the theater experience...there's plenty of non-fans who might have thought "hey Devastator was awesome...wait, who the hell is Brawl?"

And it's fodder for future special editions megsgum.gif

Well I guess the new movie is officially part of the "Transformers" mythos now that it has a production error. optimuslaugh2.gif WELCOME TO THE FAMILY

I'm not sure it counts as a production error when it's the way the director wanted it.
Mom
Well, I had planned on getting mine from Best Buy. Seeing as how they didn't get thier exclusive Metallic decoed toys in today and I drove all the way there....and then found out that the exclusive I was planning on getting (two RH Toys) was 30$.....I passed.

Instead I'm getting a free copy from someone at work and my GF managed to nab one from a guy at her work who bought it for her as a congratulatory and farewell gift. She got a promotion at her second job and is now leaving her first in favor of it.

Why? Is there a specific return policy for DVDs? The movie DVD is still unopened so I'll just say the "Beginnings" disc didn't play properly or some other bullBlot.

In that case I'm sure they'd be happy to trade it for another "Beginnings" DVD. bumblebeetounge.gif

I've been working for Target for a couple months now (Backroom) ,so of course I got the 2-disk Transforming case edition. I was able to convince the head electronics guy to give me the big pop-out Transformers promo sign too. I also managed to get a huge triangular Transformers toy sign (it went on an end cap). The Autobot eyes light up and fade out. Major score !
