Captain Marrow

So I was leaning over the couch to get something that was sitting on top of the couch against the wall and my feet were positioned slightly under the couch's ruffle....and I felt 2 seperate entities run across my feet....
So I went to move the couch, and I saw 1 of them scurry across our carpet.
I'm 30 years old and I'm not afraid of mice..but I'm afraid of the health implications they mean for my immune suppressed daughter if we can't get the damn thing trapped in a timely manner....
So while I'm waiting for Sully aka Captain Kirk to get home and deliver some glue traps....I'm just going to cower on my barstool and keep my children on 1 side of the house...
any other suggestions?

point of fact, mice don't really like cheese.

Peanut butter works way better.

We had a field mouse a couple years back (Read: Endangered species, Philip not allowed to go to town on the furry bastard)
As I recall my brother caught it when it ran into his hand...

yea, peanut butter works really well for catching mice. better than anything i've ever experienced other than another animal. our cats play with them though, the cat and mouse games go on for days because they never kill it right away, they'll drag it off, drop it and wait until it trys to scurry away before going after it again. the only time they actually kill it is when it's either somewhere that they can't reach or when they start fighting over it and kill it by accident. the dogs are much more proficient at killing little critters.
