I was watching the season finale of Heroes tonight when I saw the very short teaser for this (first I'd heard of it). I think it looks pretty cool and promising. The actress looks pretty but not inhumanly so. I'm rather looking forward to seeing more of this. Seems there's an premiere date of mid-Sept this year?

Wonders if she will replace the Duracell Bunny in the commercials.

Blot I remember both tv series when I was a kid(had a huge crush on Jamie Summers too), even watched the three or four 90's movies, even the one that gave Bionics to Sandra Bullock... that's the cool special effects.

As long as it doesn't have that frigging sound effect, and isn't as cheesy(It's going to be cheesy. I accept this. But the original series' were too cheesy even for 11 year old me.), i'll watch it. Looks interesting.

(& by the way even tho it was a parichuteing accident that injured the original Jammie, I'm will to go

& this chick gets both legs, right arm, & half her head
smashed beyond logic!
& on top of this, her 20 something boyfriend, who was in the accident himself,
wisk jammie away to a gov bace & is ready to do a bilatteral above knee amputation,
remove her arm from the sholder down, & reconstruct her smashed
in skull JUST LIKE THAT!

but that's not what's bugging me so much.
let me see, how can I say this.
Bionic Woman (even more so than 6 mill$man), did for the physicaly disable, what Marvel did for gay people & other minorites.
Jammie was seen over a period of several eps getting better, phycal
rehab, faceing the threat of Bionic rejection.
by the time the woman (& I mean just that, Jammie was a WOMAN,
not that lame tramp w/designer jeans & Prada leather jacket),
got on her feet, you felt like
you went through a real life
threating expericance w/her.
so when she used her Bionic power, she did so w/the feeling of haveing earned the right!
this scank, after looseing 40% of her body,
just get up after being layed up for a couple days,
& starts makeing demands!

I liked it.

I just loooove the series and haven't been able to catch up for a couple of shows becuse of 3D Modeling in Maya. ARRRRGH I says!!! In any account I hope this series keeps getting interesting and enjoys the same fandom as Heros ... which I havn't been able to catch up on because of... I'll give you three guesses. If you guessed Maya I'd say you were brilliant! ^_^

Seriously though, try to look at the show on it's own terms, not as a comparison to a show that hasn't been made in thirty years.

So anyway, I like the show. Did I mention that? I think it's entertaining and not really all that mentally draining, which I find in a lot of the newer shows. Plus, no goober sidekick like the spiky haired doofus in Reaper and that dork in a green shirt on Chuck. I really hate the goober sidekick.

You're missing the point of the show. Think of it as the Bionic Woman's version of the recent Transformers movie: An almost completely new interpretation.

And no, the original show was not a classic. It had bad acting, crappy plots, terrible dialog, and plot holes an 11 year old saw through(I know I did...).

I think this is a really important point.

Both Linsey Wagner & Linda Carter, were TOTAL icons of 70ies SI-FI.
& again i'll say it, Bionic woman had a very emotion arch to its story & plot.
it was no small task for Jamie to learn how to use her new limbs.
both Jamie & Steve were very suisidal after learn the scope of their injuries.
don't get me wrong, I'm more tha willing to embrace a new version of the show.
but just because your approaching it from a new angle,
that doesn't give you licence to butcher a CLASSIC!
This new show needs better FX, better plots, & a box of "Nice & Easy", hair die!

As for the matter of hair color.... the bionic woman isn't that set in stone. You try to dye WW blonde, and the internet will literally rise up and kill you.

At the same time, I think you're really overestimating the impact of the show. Six Million Dollar Man is remembered a whole lot more(Was better written too, though not by much.) Bionic Woman was one of those "Really popular at the time but barely remembered/talked about now" kinda shows. Hell, you hear more about The Incredible Hulk than you do Bionic Woman.

Most really popular shows end up that way. It's too bad, a lot of really awesome stuff is missed out on because of it.

I beg to differ. as a matter of fact the very exsistance of this crap rehash proves that I'm right about the Bionic Woman haveing a better arch & plot.
other wise why didn't they just bring back the six mil man?
if the six mil man was so much better & more remembered then why not bring his show back. the only thing I'm happy about this show is that there a very good chance, that when it comes to dvd,
there's a very good chance the original show will FINALY come out on dvd too.

ok, so there I was in a comic shop buying DC figs (that what I do when there no new TFs out like the All Spark stuff), & I suddenly came across this one perticular set of DC figs called "52".
it consist of 5 figs, Booster Gold, Supernova, Batwoman, Animal man, & Isis.
they had all 5 except Isis. eventualy I got her (had to pay almost $20). any way that when it hit me.
a show like "The Secreats of Isis" could most deffinately use a total remake! this is a show who in my youth I loved to death, only because I was so young I didn't know better.
its FX were so god awfull that even if Hollywood would re-tool the hell out of it the they did Bionic Woman, it would only be animprovment.
so I said all that to prove that I'm not overly attached to the old original series of Bionic Woman, only that Hollywood butched it merclessly.
& again I'm gonna say that Bionic woman was a SI-FI classic. when u say that it was just some SI-FI show from the 70ies that hardly no one remembers, well that's what "The Seacerats of Isis" is.
don't believe me, then i'll bet you that some of you guys are gonna have to google Isis to even know what I'm talkin about.
but Bionic Woman was never that "B" rated, not by a long shot. like I said between her & Wonder Woman, they were the face of SI-FI "woman power" of the 70ies.
