Hey folks! I have been having severe problems with my Movie 08 Bumblebee. I was painting his face, legs, and arms, and I noticed the plastic is cracking all over. The area around the ball joinnt on the head broke away, and cracks run along nearly every area of the head. I repaired the head with styrene bonding glue, only to notice the outer piece of the left calve area had snapped in two. I successfully bonded the pieces back together, but I am still quite pissed at this.
What I am wondering is if people have had issue with this before. I am using Gundam markers to do the detail areas, and those are the only areas that broke. Has anyone who has used them had the plastic break on them?

No issues with the three I have handled.

You should make sure that your paint isn't having an adverse effect on the plastic. 08 Bumblebee is made from the same plastic as any other Transformers toy, as far as I can tell.

Definitely, you want to be careful with Gundam Markers. I had one break on me once when I was working on a Gundam Model, the paint spilled all over the elbow joint I was working on. When I tried to clean it up, i realized that the ABS plastic was literally crumbling in my hands. I had to contact HLJ to replace the entire model sprue so I could complete the arm.

No problems here, thankfully.
I use Pigma Micron .005 pens for panel lining. It's regular, permanent ink, with a very small and precise tip. Fits the nooks and crannies just right.

I wonder if it has a high alcohol content in the pen. I have destroy a classics bumblebee using concentrated alcohol before. From now on I will avoid using them on TFs. My Robovision Prime seems to be holding together well despite having gundam marker areas on him.
Thanks for the help guys.
