i love payloads design, but the plunger of hell and looseness are dissapointing

i've had to do this so far

Tighten up 3 joints(hips and a wrist)

glue the head on



what i'm trying to ask here is, does the payload mod make him much better? i want to know before i mod him, since there's no going back it seems

His truck mode is very cool, lots of neat detail. Break out the paint markers for his robot mode and be happier!

I've seen the topic, problem is, i have zero modding skills X_X

All you need is the screwdriver, a sharp blade, some crazy glue, and a little time to take it slow. It's really not hard, and IMHO it's totally worth it, he's such a cool fig w/o the plunger. I added some gold and silver to his details and he's now a winner. Somebody else in my mod thread did some of their own paint apps as well, and it looks great.

Hopefully i can get my camera skills up I have a gag I want to do with his plunger.

That plunger pisses me off.
At some point someone in Hasbro R&D should have gone "You know, the claw idea was a good idea, but that plunger is just to big and intrusive. Poke a peg hole in one of his arms and we'll package him with a blaster."

I really want to like the Payload mold, but the head falling off and the giant plunger gimmick really suck bad. And what's the idea of a "capture claw" anyway? Especially one that lets go as soon as it starts to drag the captured person back anyway?
