Drumroll if you will! After what, weeks, a month maybe, my Leader Class Prime is finally finished. I had one hell of a time opening him up because I was determined to swap the yellow LED eyes out for a blue one. Turns out there was this metal pin that was covered in plastic keeping him together. Once that was tapped out, Prime opened up like an middle-aged-rock star on a psychiatrist's couch. I created his sword from the clear orange plastic of a 22 bullet ammo case. This stuff is STRONG, took me a whole to dremel it out, I think it’s solid acrylic. Click Prime's link for the info on how it attaches and such tho! Optimus Prime






Now for Starscream! A pilot of an F-22 Raptor emailed me and asked if I would consider making SS look like a real Raptor as they’re gray, not tan. Low and behold the gray paint job makes him look WAY cooler IMO. I hate missile fingers so I ended up making removable, fully poseable arms this time around. Did you know a Xevoz balljoint will fit up into SS’s empty shoulder socket perfectly? Now you can swap his arms out easily with anything using those! What about Prime's butt wheels? there has to be a way to make those look a bit nicer.

Hooray! Starscream looks neat-o. I've thought about giving him brand new arms too, but I want to make them movie-akkurate. And I'm lazy.

As much as I'd like to see the arms transform into something, Hasbro used up the space for the body/wings already. There's nothing they could effectivly transform into. If you take off the legs and arms, the whole jet is still there.

Prime's but wheel can be unscrewed I think. Didn't get around to it tho.

Well seeing as Starscreams arms just fold under and stick out from his wings as is, more slender and accurate arms would hide quite well under the wings.

It'd be neat to see Prime's head disassembled...

Wow, those blue LEDs add a lot.

I see you added his cheek tatoos. But his smokestacks are waayy too long for my taste. But I kept mine very simple. I'd love to fix up his eyes so at least he has the "eyelids" on mine, but atm, all I have are just blue painted eyes (don't want to take it apart for fearing of permanant damage).

I have GOT to find some of those arms! I like the whole gunship-gray look, but the arms are what makes it awesome, they look like they simply belong there. It looks like the fingers are articulated, are they?

Disassembling Prime's head was a NIGHTMARE! It doesn't look anywhere near as cool as when you take apart Voyager Prime head tho. His head is in like 5 seperate peices! LC Prime's head is just the face, blue eyeplate, led inside, and back of head. Bleh.

Ooh, you did cheek tatoos too! Great job! Props for doing it first, I swear I didn't copy that tho heh. Smokestacks are long because everyone's complaining about them being short? I can saw off a 1/2 inch of so at the auction-winner's request.

The blue LEDs look great (Although I HATE Leader Prime...hes got such stumpy legs). The smokestacks are kinda tall, and you forgot to swap his upper arms because they were misassembled in the factory, but that shouldnt take too long (The screws should be inside of the arm, not outside).

I think i REALLY love the starscream. Taking out the arms makes him look "right" in alt mode.

Can you please give me the source of your parts for Starscream? I need to make myslef one like this. The lack of underwing kibble is killer!

But how will the children play with Starscream now that he has no missile pods that fire their missiles with the slightest breeze!? And if SS looked like that in the movie, he surely would have been killed because he couldn't blend in with the sand! Damn you Jin, why do you throw logic out of the window!!??
