Ok, so the wife puts up with my new hobby ( collecting transformers )...she thanks its cute but doesn't really understand it. And of course recently the new TF movie came out and we saw it together...and she genuinely liked it and she understands my hobby a little more.Well, about a month ago I picked up a new book from Barnes and Noble called "Transformers Identification and Price Guide" which shows all the American transformers released with prices. As I was going through it , I came across the page with the dinobots ...well she just casually walked by and saw the page and pointed to a couple of them and said "I used to have something like that when I was a kid..." and walked off .

Well, I did not think anything of it thinking that it was some knock off that she had...( she was born in 1982 )Fast forward to yesterday...her parents asked her to go through her boxed up belongings so they can clean out there storage in the back of the house. So we were going through her Blot to see what to keep and what to burn or send to goodwill. She came across this huge box of mid 1980's TNMNT stuff...like 20+ figures and a playset. So I was digging it...but turtles really were not my thing. But then I came across this little heap of gray plastic that was a jumbled mess of legs and arms .

Yes. It was the real Grimlock....not a KO ( first thing I looked for was the Takara/Hasbro logo) I was giddy to say the least. It was in pretty rough shape though....you could tell she got a lot of fun hours out of him....joints were looser then Britany Spears and all the stickers had sand and other odd ball Blot wrong with them like falling off. She said she thought that was what she had and she also has a few others at her grandmas house a few hours away. So we are going to head up there next weekend to grab all her Blot....misc she-ra stuff and hopefully some more DinobotsAnyways here are some pics after I got him cleaned up and his joints are mostly in tight condition now. I have some stickers coming from Reprolabels.com to get him back into good condition.( http://www.reprolabels.com/grimlock.html#

BTW....I came across 2 other things too that maybe you guys can help to identify.

They were in the shape of eggs about 3" long. One transformed into a Rhino and the other transformed into an alligator. We just chunked them into the box full of TNMNT figures and left them there. But if I need to take pics of them then I will once we go back out to her moms. I heard about this thing called a Takara Egg Beast...but I don't believe that is it.

Any ideas?
Teh INTERNETS ^_^
I think Grimlock actually looks better WITH the discolouration.

As for the eggs, no idea.

He looks really nice now that he's all cleaned up. You've wound up with a nice piece there, the colours make him unique, a bit of character in there.

I have a T-Rex that turns into an Egg. I think they're just some off-brand, transforming item. Not a transformer or anything.

Those are He-man Meteorbs Crocobite and Rhinorb, they're pretty cool just the same, worth keeping. They're pretty badly stained though, the rhino is supposed to be gray.
