Full Version: Do official diaclone figures have the datestamp missing?

Even though I do not have a diaclone figure, I am wondering if a diaclone figure missing a date stamp and the takara logo an original? I ask since someone on the tni board was asking if the toy he bought (starscream) was real or not. Because I read on some diaclone site that real ones have the takara logo, I am curious and would like to help the person out even though I assume it is a fake.

Here is the original thread topic:

Diaclone toys do indeed have stamps on them. Even the Gig (Italy) ones do.

The Diaclone Seekers have the datestamp inside the legs I think, so if you can't see very well or can't McGuyver a multiple mirror reflecting setup, you'd have to take the toy apart to see it.

Kingdam Starscream (I have 2, one loose, one boxed) does not have date stamps on it. Even if the toy described was a KO with legit wings, it would be obvious since the Kingdam (the other KO Starscream is white) is a different shade of gray than TF or Diaclone.
