After going last night to see the movie again, I figured I'd head out to Wal-Mart and try my luck again. At first all was barren, but Leader Brawl was there. After a little searching, I found Rescue Ratchet, Voyager Megs, and Thundercracker. Finally, it's been a good month or so since I've gotten a 'haul' of at least four figures.

First of is Leader Brawl. Oh man, I can not express how delighted I am with this figure. He's everything I thought he would be and more. The sounds are annoying, yes, but I can deal with that. The tank looks damn good to me. The robot mode is mainly where my delightfulness comes from. He's so large and menacing that it's hard not to like him. My only gripe with this mode has to be the fact that the claws on the left 'weapon box' popped off easily for me. Other than that, he's just so lovable with the personality he gives off. This makes me wish for a Leader Bonecrusher; the personality would just ooze out.

Voyager Megs doesn't have a lot going for him in my eyes. The ice is nice and everything, but it doesn't really help it at all in my opinion. I like it better than the Leader class only because it's a bit easier to pose. I didn't like the fact that I had to force Leader Megs to do everything. Rescue Ratchet is ok, but as I've said before I like the green on Ratchet better. That's not to say I don't like RR, in fact I find him quite neat. It's just the dull white doesn't really do it for me. At least it adds more color to my Movie line shelf. Thundercracker is just plain awesome because Starscream is just plain awesome. It's amazing how nice the blue actually looks and works in person. Only thing here is that the head isn't really my thing.

So yeah, finally a 'haul.' It's a good one in my mind, but I would've liked to get some of the Deluxes. Here's looking at you, Concept Bumblebee. (And by this time I totally forgot why I'm posting this but oh well.)

I actually like the sounds on Brawl. For once I think they did a good job. Though I think the sound when his head pops up is a bit long. Other than that he's so kick ass...Chuck Norris can't stand up to him.

TC/G1 SS, I like the head mold. It's rather cool when you put it up to the light. It looks as though he's breathing fire. My inly gripe on the SS G1 deco is the fact that his face is yet again, grey and not silver. I'm getting really tied of that detail being missed.

I just got the Target G1 Starscream... I think the head looks really good. It has a retro look to it.

Just a couple days ago I hit Target to find G1-repaint Jazz (scored 1!), and I ended up getting Leader Brawl too. I totally agree with you, he's just so massive and imposing and mechanical. I like just looking at him and posing him, he's very poseable and well-balanced. He can even stand on one foot! I've already modded him, stricken with that illness as I am. I trimmed the cannon barrel and turret where they touch when you raise the barrel all the way up, so now the cannon goes up almost 45-degs. Looks more realistic and super easy.

Feel silly, but I didn't even realize he had buttons for his lights/sounds until this morning. I don't usually like sounds on my TFs, but his are very good and they fit. Like you said, thank mode is just awesome. I wish they'd made the turret rotate around its true center instead of offset, tho it's not as bad as Dlx Bawl. And there should be a moving Automorph flap to cover his head, maybe I'll make one, but he's almost perfect. Might even be my new favorite. Enjoy!

The sounds sound nice, but it's the fact that you pretty much have to listen to them every time you transform him that gets to me. The 'you can see my head while I'm in alt mode' syndrome is really starting to bug me as well. At least for Brawl it looks as if it's an easy fix.

The G1-ish head for TC/G1 SS is alright mainly due to my opinion that it adds a touch of wickedness to them. Other than that I'm really 'meh' about the head, truth be told.

i bought him yesterday and he's awsome. this just makes me want a leader blackout even more.

Just turn the head backwards before you sink it into the front of tank. Head-in-altmode-no-more!

I tried that, but the sliding panel in front of the head hangs up on the head when you tf. Did it work OK on yours?
