My, my. I wonder what the total bodycount on this movie will be. Not counting War-movies like LOTR, this might approximate, or even break the record set by Equilibrium.

Wow....this appears to be much, much better than the first.

I wonder if it'll still have the predator hosted alien.

and yeah, this looks a lot better than the "we used to worship them 2500 years ago" story of the first.

From what one gathered, this is to be a direct sequel of the original. This installment will even feature the dreaded Pred-Alien, an alien born from a Predator host, to be precise, the one featured in the first movie.

Did i see a female Predator in there? (the one with the whip?)

Yeah, if the first one had had this much decent action in it, I woulda been able to ignore the crappy writing. zOMG!

I can't handle the Pre"Alien" aliens on earth retconish crap. It's like Freddy in space. Just don't go there.

In AVP no one survived so its covered up, but this time theres army involvement and Aliens in cities yet in the Alien movies the aliens are a newly discovered race. Youd think if they had invaded our home planet before people might recognize them.

Speaking of which, it freaked me out when the little kid got facehugged. I thought, "Wow this one doesn't pull any punches, it seems."

But if I remember correctly, "The Company" wanted Riply's ship to bring the alien back, as if they knew exactly what it is before they even encountered the eggs.

Ok, I got to admit I did kinda like the first one, but it too could also have been a lot better. Having seen this trailer got me to wondering why no-one made an AVP movie based on the graphic novels, as I thought that would've been good to see.

But I am still gonna go see this one - this will open up a whole can of intergalactic jellied whoop-ass!!

remember, Alien is set about 1000 years in the future, and the crew were miners. And we don't know how AVP:R ends, either.


In the first movie, the company was only mentioned in passing. At the start of Aliens, Ripley was on Earth and told them about the alien, at which time Paul Riser tried to capture them. In the third one, the company was still trying to capture one. In Ressurection, the company had collapsed and the army wanted them.

ok, I must admit that this trailer is pretty cool. I may have to see the first one now.

yeah it should have been called alien vs predator isolation

cause its set in a small town

Because if you look at the trailer, and then the definition of the word...it not only fits, it's creepier this way.

from the trailer it looks like the're going back to the older designs cause the aliens have those bulges on their heads and the predators seem to have less armor on

the alien at the end sounded like des ghidorah from rebirth of mothra

Yeah but she was left floating on a block of ice in the Antarctic with no food, shelter or means of escape.

In clothing that in no way could have protected her from Arctic temperetures

Definitely looks like it'll be better than the first, but that's not saying much. They really need to set the AVP films in the Aliens time frame, in the games and comics it gave a much grander backdrop and the Colonial Marines lend to the chaos.
