Full Version: Movie Jazz (G1) got a slight mold change

Just noticed this, I looked for another thread on this but not too hard so if this has already been posted, sorry:

Anyhow, The folding hood pieces. The hinge between each hood quarter on the original had two holes on one side that assisted you in placement of the rear of the forearms. Using said holes you could pull it apart making the rotation of the middle of the hood easier and then push them back together. No more. The outer most hole is gone and the piece is altogether shorter. It doesn't effect the TF whatsoever other than making it a bit smoother and less likely that you'll inadvertantly pull the hood apart.

I've not noticed any differences on SS yet but I've not spent too much time with him so we'll see.

I predict this thread will get 2 responses. thumbsup1.gif

are you referring to the target G1 repaint or the finalbattle jazz? or is this a mold change in the run of standard jazzes?

G1 redeco. ::amended thread title::

Sorry 'bout that.

I'm actually curious if they'll implement this change on all of the future release of this mold from here on out and whether or not it started with this particular redeco or not.

Hmm, I thought the transformation was a little bit cleaner.

Well I'll be dipped- you're right. Got my G1-repaint tonight, woo-hoo, and that piece is indeed minus one hole.

Funny part is, I modded my original Dlx Jazz in this same way for the same reason. Works better for sure.

Another thing too; on the grey version the spoiler can be flipped 180 degrees. Not on this one. Which kind of sucks because if you leave the rear attached in robot mode and flip the spoiler around you can attach the sword over his shoulder ala G1. I'll be rectifying this change for sure.
