I just picked him up today. He's super spiff. I normally don't buy Voyagers (unless a sale or clearance happens), but I had a coupon so I decided to grab him up.

Being my third movie voyager, I'm greatly impressed. He blows away the prior line voyagers I own, and isn't as fiddly or floppy as Blackout. He just...commands so much presence. I wuvs him so.
Agent-GHQ
It looks sturdy and well sculpted. I'm not feelin it yet for the Movie TF, however i'm waiting on the G1 SS paint on this voyager. I believe its a Target exclusive??
Calcifer
Starscream is awesome. I can't believe you ignored his awesomeness untill today.

...

But Ratchet is better.
Thunderdirge
Ratchet feels sturdier...but better? I don't think you're gonna get much cooler than Voyager Starscream, and I can't figure out why.
Calcifer
Don't get me wrong- Starscream rocks. But I like the bulk and the greeeeeeeeeen on Ratchet more.

Uh-oh, is there a Ratchet vs Starscream thing brewing here? I think the only way to settle this will be...

I was not even going to buy Voy SS, bec. of the weak alt mode. In fact, of the first wave of movie figs out (i.e. the June 2 releases), he's the last one I've bought, and I have all of them exc. for Leader Megs and a couple Dxs. Glad I did get him, tho, bec. he is quite awesome in robot mode, no arguments there, esp. w/ some fingers on his "hands" that I made out of his missiles. He's got a great stance, nice articulation, and a bad atitude. Jet mode, however, still leaves me cold. Just too much bulk to be at all realistic. F-22s have all their weapons mounted internally, and here SS has his huge missile launchers and racks flapping in the Mach-2 breeze. He'll prob. stay in robot mode most of the time, and he'll be quite a sight that way.

F22's do have external hardpoints, which can be used to carry additional ordanance/stores when stealth isn't an issue.

The Army secretly is developing minicons to use these hardpoints. No word yet on how strapping a small sports to the underside of the wings helps the jet be stronger, though.

Or Ratchet could have like been more than background color.

I was re-reading old topics, and apparently Starscream's arms peg down in bot mode? Um...what pegs and tabs? The only thing keeping my Screamer's arms in place is the natural positions of the black strut and the joints in the shoulder attachment.
Rundown
I'll never find it, but there was a post ( a month ago ) about how the tips of screamers wings sometimes had a little interference contact with the hip plates, barely noticeable, but enough to keep the wings held away from small peg that is on the back of each black arm strut. A tiny bit of trimming , and the wings lock into place like they were always meant to. I did it to mine, because the left side snapped in properly, and the right side held off. The little pegs are at the bottom of the arm struts, right beside the rivets that attach them to his "lower back" area.
Jett not Munky!
same for mine. there is no peg.

the toy is sturdy and will hold any pose if you position his legs in just the right way. one thing though. he really doesn't look movie accurate in either mode. those cannons are ridiculous and oversized. he really needed hands. his legs also seem too short. it's good for a voyager and fun as a toy, but he was one i would say was better off as a leader class toy

but that's for the sequel toyline tounge1.gif
