I'm looking for a Masterpiece MP-05 Megatron, but without the orange plug. They have it at actionHQ.com and they say it will be unmodified, but I'm worried about whether it'll be seized at customs or not (I live in the USA).
Has anybody dealt with them before I.E. are they reputable? If so, what are the chances that I will actually receive it unmodified?

I know some of the stores, like Big Bad Toy Store, DO have an orange plug in the barrel, meaning the box WILL be opened. If you don't care about the box being sealed, and just want to play with the figure (like myself 
) then that should be fine. And if MP-05 from ActionHQ is done like it was at BBTS, then (from what I understand) the plug should be a breeze to remove. So not only does your Megs not get confiscated by the Feds (who are taking time out of their busy schedules of TRYING to keep our country safe, just to steal grown men's action figures), but you very well may legally own a de-modified MP-05.

Well, my main concerns are these: Assuming the worst case scenario and it's seized at customs, do they get returned to sender and I get a refund, or would I be screwed out of $160 (shipping & all)?

From what I've read, they are never returned to sender. Customs keeps them like police evidence and it's destroyed or taken home by the supposed destroyer. Action-HQ is telling you the toy is unmodded for your FYI just in case it get's seized their butts are covered. Sooooo, order at your own risk. Like said above, everyone who's ordered the modded one just takes it out lickity split.
Okay, cool. That was another concern with the modified one, whether it's permanent or easy to remove. Thanks for the info!
I pre-ordered my MP-05 from Action-HQ before the initial release and had no problems what-so-ever with my unmodded Megatron. I had it shipped EMS and it was delivered 4 days after it was released.

Action HQ is Hong Kong.
Of all the Toy stores, Action HQ has the fewest starts and some horror stories in reviews. Order at your own risk.
Besides, HQ's preorder price is $119. You can get it from Digital Toys for the exact same. I was actually going to say for $99.95 - like I did last week, but it seems they just went up on the price $20 within the past few days. Still, I would order domestic before Hong Kong if I had the choice.
