Well if they're G1 Classics, it's a moot point b/c G1 had all kinds of magic shrinky dudes. It's just being consistent with the inconsistency of G1.

I think they'd be more useful as little spies in their alt-mode size, instead of magically growing into large combat robots. They can take some pics or whatever, then run outside and hitch a ride in a larger TF, ala Frenzy and Barricade in the movie. FWIW

I think it's pretty obvious that they're supposed to be like the cell phone in the movie that turned into a robot -- their alt modes are "actual size" while their robot modes are tiny.
