it said
"Staring Transformers' Shia Laboufe"
guess the movie didn't do too good? i thought it was decent, but it irks me when they try to piggyback movies like this.

I didn't hear too much about it when it was new, but I did go to see it in the $2 theater about 2 weeks ago. I thought it was good, but not rewatchable.

Didn't it top the US box office for a while?
hasn't been released here yet. looks like a massive rip off of rear window anyway.

I wouldn't say it was a box office disaster. It made it's money and then some.
At the time this movie had hit theaters, they mentioned Shia's name and people basically thought "Oh yeah, ain't he in that TransFormers thing?" Now that both movies are box office successes....
Mentioning his name will not only boost DVD sales, but it helps promote him as well. "Ooh. He was good in Bay's movie, I'll give this one a shot."
I see nothing detrimental in advertising the DVD this way, in fact, it was pretty smart to bank on him.

Its not exactly a new thing. Look at the back of any DVD. They usually put the name of another film any actor/director/writer has done in brackets after their name.

Don't worry, promos for TF2's will read: "Starring... Indiana Jones 4's Shia LeBeouf."

No, probably "Random Hearts" Harrison Ford or "Six Days, Seven Nights" Harrison Ford.
